Event Schema markup for multiple events (same location/address)?
-
I was wondering if its possible to markup multiple events on the same page for one location/address using the event schema.org markup? I tried doing it on a sample page below:
http://www.rama.id.au/event-schema-test/
Google's schema testing tool shows that its all good (except for warning for offers). Just wanted to know if I am doing it correctly or is there a better solution. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you

Webmaster tools / search console https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home?hl=en
https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/u/0/
You can use this as a template
Or use this great tool https://jsonld.com/json-ld-generator/
(remember with JSON-LD you must have the content in HTML if you post via JSON-LD)

Hi Vincent
Again, it may be a matter of creating individual pages for each event w proper Schema, or it is possible to use tags in Schema as well. So, each event would be wrapped by their proper Event tag, with the address information in a meta tag included. Both are rather tedious. You can read more here:
https://schema.org/docs/gs.html#schemaorg_testing
Ideally though, you'd have an individual page for each event.
You could follow Ticketmaster's path and use data-vocabulary.com markup, however, Schema is the standard. If you're wondering what I mean, run the following URL through the Google Structure Data Markup Tester I linked to in my previous comment:

Sorry for not posting links - I am on my phone and I cannot. Will update in the AM.
Hope these help! Good luck!

Hello Oleg and Patrick
Thank you so much gentlemen for helping me out. Unfortunately, I cannot wrap each event in it's own using itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Event" as each event will then require me to specify the same address multiple times due to the "location" attribute being a required field. Since the address occurs only once on the pageI am bound to use it only once by tying the same address to multiple address. On a side note, how come the Google schema testing tool able to pass my implementation on the sample URL?
Hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks once again.

I agree with Oleg here - each event should have it's own page.
That being said, it is possible to markup individual events on the same page, because each event is has it's own unique attributes. Each event will be wrapped in it's own itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Event" - so be mindful of that.
You can read more here.
Keep in mind Google and Yandex have structured data markup testing tools.
Hope this helps! Good luck!

You should create separate events for each event you have (even if the location is the same)
from https://schema.org/Event --> "Repeated events may be structured as separate Event objects."

Hello All, I have implemented schema on product page. On My product page at left section there is one section i.e. "Popular Products" in that 5 Popular products are listed. Now when I visit ABCD product page then in "Popular Product" section also out of 5 products this ABCD product also listed. Finally when I check structured data testing tool in that following details are available for products - @type, @id, image, name, url, sku, category, description, offers & offers all details, Brand & brands all details ...now after that there in "Is Related To" in that five products following details are there - @type, @id, image, name, url & offers that's it. So my query is, is this consider as duplicate? or no issue at all with google? Thanks! 6dHvQ

Product Schema implementation
Hi Once you have added structured data to a web page, say adding 'product schema' to a product page how long can you reasonably expect before it take effects, ie. displays rich snippets ? Also in the case of product schema what triggers the display of the rich snippet ? is it a branded keyword and product title search or just a product title search or can it result from a generic keyword search too ? All Best Dan

Problem with Markup (Price, MaxPrice, MinPrice)
Hi Hi, I've inserted some Markup on my homepage for a vacation flat. It's looking like thies: As there is not just one price for the whole season, I used minPrice and maxPrice to define it. Unfortunatelly the Google Testing Tool (https://developers.google.com/webmasters/structured-data/testing-tool/) sais, that the value "price" has to be also in the code, but I have no clue what value I should give it? Has someone an advice? Thank you very much! Best regards André

I cannot find a way to implement to the 2 Link method as shown in this post: http://searchengineland.com/the-definitive-guide-to-google-authorship-markup-123218
Did Google stop offering the 2 link method of verification for Authorship? See this post below: http://searchengineland.com/the-definitive-guide-to-google-authorship-markup-123218 And see this: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/using-passive-link-building-to-build-links-with-no-budget In both articles the authors talk about how to set up Authorship snippets for posts on blogs where they have no bio page and no email verification just by linking directly from the content to their Google+ profile and then by linking the from the the Google+ profile page (in the Contributor to section) to the blog home page. But this does not work no matter how many ways I trie it. Did Google stop offering this method?

Does server location matter?
Hi guys, A friend's website is hosted in Germany (showing German IP in Flagfox) but it is a UK-based local business that only serves customers within a small radius covering 3 medium sized UK towns (they sell heavy construction materials for collection only). Should I advise him to change hosting location to the UK? Will this help him rank better for regional keyword searches & Google Places? He has some 'followed' links from UK sites (over 6 months old) that are not being picked up by Majestic, OSE or Webmaster Tools - is this likely to be connected to the server location? Thanks in advance for any help!

IP address URLs being indexed, 301 to domain?
I apoligize if this question as been asked before, I couldnt' find in the Q&A though. I noticed Google has been indexing our IP address for some pages (ie: 123.123.123.123/page.html instead of domain.com/page.html). I suspect this is possibly due to a few straggler relative links instead of absolute, or possibly something else I'm not thinking of. My less-evasive solution a few months back was to ensure canonical tags were on all pages, and then replaced any relative links w/ absolutes. This does not seem to be fixing the problem though, as recently as today new pages were scooped up with the IP address. My next thought is to 301 redirect any IP address URL to the domain, but I was afraid that may be too drastic and that the canonical should be sufficient (which it doesn't seem to be). Has anyone dealt with this issue? Do you think the 301 would be a safe move, any other suggestions? thanks.
