http://moz.com/community/q/some-goal-conversion-in-google-analytics-showing-under-referral
In Google analytics most of the goal conversion in Google analytics showing under referral from payment gateway sites (Paypal.com & epdq.co.uk). I have applied all the possible solution that suggested by Moz community experts & Google Adwords support team but it is not resolved yet and it is really weird answer to give client that I have applied all possible solution and issue is still not solved. Lastly I am sharing Cross domain tracking code here that I have used on my site. Please check once and let me know if code is correct and If not correct please help me out to correct the code or suggest any other way to fix the issue
Cross domain tracking code
=======================
<script type="text/javascript">(function(i,s,o,g,r,a,m){i['GoogleAnalyticsObject']=r;i[r]=i[r]||function(){
(i[r].q=i[r].q||[]).push(arguments)},i[r].l=1*new Date();a=s.createElement(o),
m=s.getElementsByTagName(o)[0];a.async=1;a.src=g;m.parentNode.insertBefore(a,m)
})(window,document,'script','//www.google-analytics.com/analytics.js','ga');
ga('require', 'linker');
ga('linker:autoLink', ['paypal.com', 'payments.epdq.co.uk'], false, true);
ga('create', 'UA-xxxxxx', 'auto', { 'allowLinker': true});
ga('require', 'displayfeatures');

Hi,
Just wanted to drop a note as I have had a really similar issue with epdq. It's normal to see some residual referrals relating to epdq, especially if this issue went on for a few days or more.
Also, exclude on the referral filter level with epdq.co.uk, not the subdomain (the subdomain didn't work for me).
Be interested to hear how you're getting on.

Hi Alick,
Sorry, this has clearly been a frustrating experience for you! I'm not sure that the Moz community is the best place for your question - I'd look at Google Product forums, like Cyrus suggested: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!forum/analytics
Best,
Kristina

I see now you mentioned this in one of your other posts about this issue!
Still - technically both of these work so there must be something in your setup somewhere that is causing the problem.
Is there any kind of redirect happening on your return page that might be stripping out variables before they are read?
Just an idea - I have seen this setup work just fine on many sites.... -
Hi,
Yes I also tried that but didn't work.
Thanks
-
Hi,
Have you tried using the utm_nooverride=1 in the return url to your site (as mentioned in the link above)? Its tough to say why the referral exclusion would not be working properly, this kind of situation was one of the reasons this feature was added to analytics.

Hi Lynn,
Thanks for reply I have already added the domains paypal.com and epdq.co.uk to referral exclusions list but this is not working I'm still getting goal conversions from payment gateway site under referral in GA.
Thanks
-
HI,
Cross domain tracking requires you to use the same analytics ID across ALL the sites you are linking between - which as far as I know is not possible for most payment gateways.
There is an easy solution though - add the domains paypal.com and epdq.co.uk to your referral exclusions list.
This stops new sessions being created when users return to your site after payment on a third party site and transactions are therefore attributed to the original source that brought the visit.Check out this article for a rundown of the setup - it also gives a second option to try of the referral exclusion doesn't work (but it should).

Goal in Analytics - mulitple sources for the destination?
Hello, guys. I am trying to find information without luck for my case - I have a contact form, which is placed on many inner pages (about 40). My question is - how do I make a Goal that has simultaneously all the different sources at once (as steps probably) - because there is a max limit of goals, and because analyzing them separately will take much time. When a form is submitted, a /thankyou//?recordid=0d53415b-3e6b-4a32-add7-1586a4737a89 (or similar URL) appears.My guess is that I use a regular expression of ^/thankyou as a Destination, but I do not know what to write in steps. Thank you all in advance, I hope I find a solutions of this annoying problem..

Google Analytics shows wrong traffic source
I was reviewing out traffic sources on GA for this past week's traffic history, and noticed a couple of visits & conversions that GA cited as coming from campaigns from emails that were sent out in 2012 and early 2013. it seems odd that we would have traffic & conversions from these older campaigns - on a regular basis. it's not even from one campaign, but from multiple campaigns. is it possible that it is a cookie issue? - i wonder if these visits were really from the email campaigns - or if they were from organic searches or other sources. Thoughts? Thanks!

Google Analytics Goals are not recording
Hello! I've set up Goals within Google Analytics and they aren't registering. I'm wondering if someone can review what I've set up to see if I've entered something wrong. I'm trying to track enrollments. Here's the site info: Enroll URL: http://www.careplusdentalplans.com/individuals/enroll-careplus/ Upon completion, the user goes to a Thank You page and our CMS generates a trailing URL parameter. For example: http://www.careplusdentalplans.com/index.php/individuals/enroll-careplus-thank-you/#123456789 My Goal info in GA: Goal URL: /individuals/enroll-careplus-thank-you/
Reporting & Analytics | | SmileMoreSEO
Match Type: Head Match (to disregard trailing URL parameter)
Goal Funnel: Step 1: /individuals/enroll-careplus/ I'm curious if the problem lies in either: The URL: Notice how the URL adds /index.php/ on the thank you page. In that case, should I enter the full URL in the Goal instead of the truncated URL? The Funnel: Is it necessary to show the initial Enroll page or if I'll see that in the Flow Visualization regardless? Thanks in advance for helping me out. Erik0 -

Best practices to track blog.mydomain.com in Google Analytics?
What is the best practice in Google Analytics? Tracking blog.mydomain.com + mydomain.com under the same profile? Or creating separate profiles for each blog.mydomain.com and mydomain.com? Thanks!

Goal Conversion Rate increase AND Abandonment Increase
I wonder if someone can help me understand some data I'm seeing in Google Analytics. SetUp Goal with 3 step Funnel Date Comparison is 1st-8th September & 1st-8th June The Data (pics attached) Looking at the Goal Conversion Rate I can see: September - 11.58% vs June - 10.42% an increase which Google shows as (+11.18%) For same time period Abandonment Rate is showing September - 71.3% vs June - 61.5% - an increase which Google shows as (+16.5%) The Questions How can I bee seeing both an increase in conversion rate AND and increase in Abandonment rate on the funnel? And why doesnt "(Conversion Rate + Abandonment Rate) = 100%" ? Many thanks for any help! yqwFP.png cj5dn.png
