If your brands are enterprise level, Hootsuite has extremely impressive, but expensive tools.
Rival IQ is the best for keeping up with the competition.
Rowfeeder is slick for pulling in hashtags and the like to comb through.
Meshfire's doing interesting things around finding influencers and creating Twitter lists for you, but depends on size and scope.

Sorry was in a hurry to get this posted before my tea break
We want to keep an eye on our brands & company for mentions and negative social media activity, also need to keep an eye on competitors.
Not quite so interested in the analytic stage of the moment.
We are busy growing a major brands and haven't got time to do it manually.

Hello, I keep on hearing that social media signals have a role in the way Google ranks pages and sites, but for now, I haven't seen any hard evidence of that. Like any other company, we have pages on facebook, linkedin, google plus and twitter, to which we post daily. No, there are no clients coming in from social media, so I was wondering if it's worth investing time in adding every day updates, unless those count in ranking on Google. Crawling of Social data
Just a quick inquisitive question. Websites like Facebook and Twitter arent public, they obviously allow a page title and snippet of account info in search results. So how are is social metrics gathered as regards to Tweets or Shares or Likes etc. in crawling data gathering? Would this give some insite how best to share social media too?

Social Media and Local Search results
Hello, I have profiles in several social media websites like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc. When I search with my name on google.com the profiles are showing on the first page, but when I do a local search, the profiles start showing in the end of the second page. I'm very active in my social media profiles, and I don't know why is this happening. How long does it take for the profiles to show on the first page in local search? Can I do anything to speed up the process?

Social Media Gurus... What would you do, your industry has no presence?
You are tasked with creating a Facebook page for an industry which has a distinct lack of social media presence. During your research for your industry or client you find none of their competitors are using social media to any large degree. Reviewing the whys, you find that the demographics of people using Social Media outlets like, Facebook, Twitter, Pin Interest, and LinkedIn do not really fit with the industry. Social Media and Outbounds...
I have two sites I can get a link to my site on. The first has 10 outbounds all to facebook. The other has ten links to ten different sites. Assuming the sites are in every way equivalent apart from in that way which site gives me more juice if I add a link to my own site?

Using a Social Media Infrastructure

It has really increased the amount of followers on all of the social media sites I have been using.
