How come my local keyword is ranking lower than my national keyword?
-
Hey
Not always easy to answer these questions in general terms.
- Your national keyword indicates how relevant you are for this product / service / widget for non local search queries.
- Your local keywords indicates how relevant you are for this product / service / widget for local search queries.
If you have lots of local competition then you may be stacked behind others that are closer to a given location in the search query (or the user could be closer to the competitor than to you).
Lot of assumptions here. Lot of moving parts as well. Location targeted. Organic or pack results. Location of user conducting the search. Local intent behind these keywords.
Caveat - It is often hard to advise on these issues with all the information but in a very general way like this it is incredibly hard to give truly accurate and insightful guidance.
Hope that helps!
Marcus

How to determine which keywords from a list trigger local 3 pack results, is there an automated way to do this?
Trying to discover which keywords from a larger list trigger the new 3 pack of local results. Would like to avoid checking this one keyword at a time.

Linking Google Business Page to Moz Local?
I'm working on updating an existing Moz Local account, and one of the listings says that there is "No listing found on Google." However, there is a Google Business page for this listing, it just isn't linked to my account. And the only option Moz gives me is to "create listing" on Google, which takes me to the page to create a Google business listing. So my question is this: how do I link an existing Google Business page to a Moz local listing that is already mostly set up?

Submission Question for MOZ Local - Potential Issue with Submission and Facebook
I will be setting up a MOZ Local account for a client with two locations. My question/concern with the facebook page matching up with the information submitted for the business. This plastic surgery practice has two locations but their facebook page only allows for one address. Could the secondary location submission possibly be rejected due to the address not matching the information on the facebook page? Thanks for your help!

Anyone else having trouble uploading CSV file to Moz Local?
I have filled out the listings template provided by Moz Local for creating listings. I uploaded a week or so ago and when I went to check listings today, none were created. So I tried to upload the CSV file again, and it is giving me an error saying "Make sure you are uploading a CSV (Comma Delimited) file and that you include the column titles. If you are using Microsoft Excel, please export your spreadsheet as a CSV file first.". I have saved it as a CSV in both Excel and Google sheets, but neither file seems to be recognized by Moz Local as a CSV. Is this happening because of the previously uploaded file, or did it never get uploaded in the first place and I just missed the error message the first time around? Anyone else having problems uploading their CSV and found a way to get it accepted? Is there any other way to create a CSV from an excel file other than Excel or Google Sheets? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

How does Moz Local work with business that don't have a physical location? (e.g., handyman, locksmith, etc.)
I'm wondering how Moz Local will handle a business that doesn't want to publicly display an address. A handyman, landscaper, or locksmith might want to do something like this. Is it easily handled or do you have to manually try to "work around" to hide the address on sites that let you? Thanks!
