Organic Sitelinks

Hi.
I am looking after a website in Ireland called CarsIreland.ie
When you search "carsIreland", I come number 1 and the organic sitelinks appear
however
When you search "cars Ireland", I come number 1 and the organic sitelinks Do Not appear
why?

Hi there,
The first search is for your exact brand name, meaning that there's a huge likelihood of that particular search being for your brand and nothing else. Because of this, Google can figure out that the searchers intention is to find you, and will show more of your website in first position.
The second search for 'cars ireland' is a lot more generic and might be searched by users that aren't familiar with your brand. For this reason, Google wouldn't show your organic sitelinks because you're unlikely to be the best result for the majority of these searches.

How do we remove organic listing in other countries for our brand?
We have noticed that we're getting over 25,000 impressions from India over the last 3 months for our brand term. We are seeing similar results from other countries too but not as much. Having used FatRank I can see that our brand name is ranking in position 1 and 2 in multiple countries, this wouldn't be a problem if 1. we sold cars there and 2. they weren't producing leads for our sales guys to follow up which is causing problems. How can we exclude other countries? In Search Console we are already just targeting the UK. Thanks 🙂

Big drop in organic traffic after new site launched
Hi There, I have had a drop of around 40% in site traffic since we migrated our site from Magento to Woocommerce. The products were migrated across and kept the same title tags, meta descriptions, copy etc... I set up 301's on the top 100 landing pages and submitted a new site map using Google Web Master Tools. It looked like the traffic was coming back to where it was but the gap has widened again. Can anyone advise me on what I may have missed or how to go about diagnosing the problem and fixing it

Unable to demote contact us & about us pages from sitelink?
Hey all, It's been 3 months now I demoted contact us & about us page via search console but it still appearing in my sitelink. Is there any other guidelines to be followed? Do anyone have the same experience? Susan.

Organic Traffic Decrease WOW and YOY sitewide
My site is experiencing a decrease in organic traffic WOW for the last two weeks and for the first time all year is showing a decrease compared to last year's traffic for the same weeks. At first I thought this was a seasonal pattern due to spring break (we are mostly b to b), but the dip has sustained for another week. The only changes made during this time period were a few on-page updates and some title tag updates to a specific group of pages. However, the decrease is sitewide including branded clicks and impressions. I haven't noticed any changes in rankings. Impressions and clicks are down per Search Console, but CTR and Avg Rank haven't changed. Is it possible that we've been penalized or hit by an algo shift? What's the best way to know for sure? Sitelink Demotion Question
A non profit in our industry that we support pro bono--the awesome Efficiency First--is finding that individual member listings are sometimes showing up within their sitelinks. This obviously does not sit well with the members who do not show up. I know that you can "demote" specific URL's within webmaster tools, but I'm wondering if it's possible to demote an entire section. Their structure is www.efficiencyfirst.org/member/member#. Do we demote the entire member section? Or is there a more structural problem at play here? Thanks much. 2IZuPkD.png

How do I EXPAND my sitelinks?
When I search for my site in Google, I am able to see 4 sitelinks below the main result. The problem is, Google is only showing the hyperlinks. When I search for other companies, it shows the hyperlinks plus some text below each link. How do I add this extra text? The attached image is not of my site but it shows the exact same problem for the top 2 results. Directory Naming & File Organization
We're redoing an entire site and are going to reorganize, and link to the site's pages by directory instead of page name. So instead of:xyz.com/services/fixingtvs.phpit will be:xyz.com/fixingtvsAt first I was thinking 1 index.php page per directory but that will make content management really confusing with a bunch of files with the same name.Anyone have a better idea?Thanks,Matt
