1.6 million internal links?

I'm putting together a link building strategy and while researching our competitors saw that one of them has over 1.8 million internal links when most of the other have between 10k to 150k. Are all these links genuine? How would you go about creating this volume of internal links?

Well, pretty much every page on that website is stuffed with internal links.
Even a simple blog post has like 50 links to their main and category pages.This page has more than 100 links http://www.cartridgesave.co.uk/toner-cartridges/Samsung/Xpress-SL-C430W.html
And they have 19,000 pages in the index, so I'm not surprised they have that many internal links.

Disvowing Links?
I ran a report through SEM rush and it came back with 174 toxic links ( score 100-60). I have been reading mixed reviews about what to do. Most of the websites are not relevant and appear to be linking to the images. Should I disavow these links? Would it help SEO? Or should I leave it be?

Disavowing Links
I need some advice... I've noticed our link profile has increased with many comments links --- something I certainly have not pursued manually. I'm new to disavowing links. However, before I go ahead and disavow them, I'd like to ask how harmful these links are and would you recommend this is something I can do myself (relatively novice SEO) or if you'd recommend someone who could do this for a reasonable cost. In one instance, the link from this comment thread is with the anchor text, "porn"... Certainly not something we want to rank for, haha! I look forward to your advice

Anchor Text, best practice for internal links?
Hi, We have a news article on our site that describes currents status/news concerning 2 "major" topics for our business. Now we also have separate pages dedicated to these topics and try to target links/traffic here. This news article has obtained a few "natural external links", but to my question: Within the news article we mention these two keywords naturally about 10 times each. Should we "anchor text" -link each of these mentions to it´s dedicated/in depth -page? Or perhaps only the first mention? Or not at all and perhaps instead put text at the bottom of the article pointing/explaining where they can find more info on each subject at our site? Thanks!

A couple of my competitors have WAY more internal links than I do, and are outranking me. Could that be an important factor? (Let's assume all other things equal, i.e. don't bother explaining that it's complicated and many factors are involved, please.) What should be the ration of inbound link between Home page and Internal pages?
What should be the ration of inbound link between Home page and Internal pages? And also wanted to clear my doubt, suppose My website is related to Technology niche with different technologies like PHP, Java etc. Is this better idea to submit internal PHP page link in PHP related directories? Links from Real Estate Websites Link Page, Do or Don't?
It seems that real estate sites have at times been under heavier scrutiny from the search engines. But real estate agents get networking, which makes acquiring those links a little bit easier. Plus with localization of search, I think real estate sites may give off a good GEO scent. Should SEO's go for links from real estate websites? Does a reciprocal link devalue said links?

Why are none of my incoming links showing up in SEOmoz or Google? How do I get good legit incoming links?
There are hundreds of sites that are linking to my website, but nobody is showing it. Google wont display any when using link:eugenecomputergeeks.com, and in webmaster tools it only shows 46 incoming links. SEOmoz shows only 3 links. This just isn't so. Why is this? I DESPERATELY need valid incoming links from well ranked websites , and having lots of trouble getting them. Nobody in town with a well ranked site seems to want to do a link exchange, and I've already made the mistake of buying my way into directories, which didn't do anything good for my rankings. Thanks!
