Hello ,

I have two website in the same domain but for 2 differents country. Can I put a link in both of them? If yes, should the links be NO follow?

Yes, you can link them to each other with a regular link, no need to place a No Follow.

Since this is the same website in different languages and targeting different countries, you should look into implementing hreflang on both websites.

Info on paid links and damage they can do?

I'm kind of new to SEO and have the following question. If you're say a wedding supplier and are looking to get listed on some of the many online weddings directories out there, for example: http://www.thebridalfile.co.uk Most of these sites charge for an ad with a link, would this come under the banner of paid links and therefore be damaging form an SEO point of view? Nearly all wedding directories generate a substantial part of their revenue from these types of ads. Obviously the ad itself will generate traffic but I'm wondering whether the search engines will see these as paid links which will be penalised? or is this different to simply paying someone to get your links on their network of sites which, as I understand it, is the issue that google have with paid links? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

A Big Shout To Everyone -- Good Morning and What's Up 🙂 As I read today through seomoz professional guide to link building and the section why link building matters and in addition to this a newsletter I received today that changed my whole thinking towards link building for rankings vs for relationships. It is already happening on social networks if you are active there, but what about on your website. What are your thoughts on the following ? Google's job is provide the most relevant results to surfers online, and looking the link profile of a site & the page itself is the key to determining which page to serve on plate to the surfers link query ! I think that we as webmasters have to ask ourselves what do we want to achieve with link building. To get quick traffic or build slow authority links, high rankings, lead generation, sales & other things here I may be missing etcccc Other Objective Networking & Relationship Building Alliances : What I discovered today is that building links for 1st page rankings are great and will provide me with steady traffic, but not all of it is targeted traffic, but what else can I do to bring targeted traffic and at the same time try to build alliances with other related non competing business owners online. The idea... is to apply old school networking / relationship building alliances to get targeted traffic to my site that can actually benefit from my services. How Do We Achieve This I become a editor for approving resource links for me site, only the best will be placed on my site as a resource. Build a valuable tightly themed categorized resource section with related non competing resources that can help my sites visitors find what they are looking for, send visitors to non competing resources that may purchase their services which helps me build a relationship with them, and may can with rankings as well, provided I am selective with my qualification process. Can indirect linking be valuable?

I have a client who is using a SEO company (Hubshout, delete name if necessary) to boost traffic to their website. They are doing this by publishing articles and submitting them to article directories, then they use their own sites/blogs (which are valueless, PR and MozRank of zero) to point to these articles and they say that this helps boost there rankings. How? They are not linking to the clients websites, creating artificial links from their own websites to article directories instead of the clients website. Are they trying to boost the value of the article or trying to boost their own websites? How does this help out the client? It is similar to three way linking but is not.

Can you have too many badge links?

If you badge program becomes really successful, can too many badge links hurt your rankings? Since they are image links that are often placed in the sidebar of blogs, could Google mistake badges as do-follow ads and apply a penalty?
