Is it important to "cover your tracks" when searching for links? For example, would be it be a better idea to search for valuable links off of my companies network?

If so, what are your strategies for stealth searching?

I personally don't think it is necessary. The worst that can happen is that a competitor knows you are checking them out. Any good company checks out the competition.

If you are trying to hide your origin, it would be better to search from your personal account as the company IP maybe more easily identified.

Again though... I wouldn't worry about it at all. You don't need to be stealthy.

Link Building

I'm having difficulty creating a solid link base. I would prefer to only have links that are on relevant sites that are likely to drive traffic rather then just adding my company page to site directories. I've checked out the whiteboard Friday edition of link building and have also used the new Moz analytics that helps recommend sites to link to, but all the recommendations were directories. So, could anyone hold my hand and guide me through the world of Link building? Your help, as always, is much appreciated. Thanks everyone Dave

If i get link pointing to a specific page , will that link add up to the count of linking root domains too ?

If I create a fresh link pointing to specific page on my site, apart from adding a number to "page linking root domains" does it also add up to root domain linking ?

Internal linking question

How important is internal linking from body content? If you have 500 words of content on each page is it good practise to try and get a few links in to other pages? Surely if you do this your pass more juice out of the page, which might lead to devaluing the page in the SE's.

Link Location: In main page or inner "Link" page?

My question is what´s best of Link Building: have it in main page or in internal Link Pages. I have the problem that have to reduce the number of outgoing links in my mainpage to rank better, but do not want to miss any linkjuice. No more Juicy Link Finder!

hi all, I really loved using the juicy link finder for my link building activity, but I've just noticed it is now no longet available redirecting me to the tools page when clicking on: www.seomoz.org/link-finder Can anyone recommend a tool i can use that offers exactly the same information or alternative tools out there? Internal Linking - 100 plus links

Hi Everyone, I have a question of how the on-page links are being counted. Say you have a page with a warning of having too many on page links (100+). How are all of these links counted? Let's say there are only 5 links on that page. Do the links on each of those pages count too and so on and so forth? I just want to make sure I have wrapped my head around this correctly. Thanks!

Do sites on the same c-block and same server count as seperate linking root domains when linking to each other?

Lets say there are 50 businesses who have their website on the same server and are on the same c-block but the owners of the individual sites are different (i.e. they are all completely different sites not relevant to each other). Each of those sites are linking to each other due to a feature on the sites. This obviously increases the number of total links to each site but does it also increase the number of linking root domains? Or does this just show up as one linking root domain due to all of them being on the same server and the sharing the same c-block?
