Big business associated with "pets" and other terms used for animals might fall away to terms such as "animal companion".
Some people think that the term "pet" is politically incorrect.
http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/us/2011/05/09/dnt.pet.politically.incorrect.CBC?hpt=T2
Time to go out and register "AnimalCompanionSupplies.com"
I doubt that very many people are going to start searching for "animal companion food" but. the people who adopt these new terms will be, in my opinion, the same folks who buy high end goods and stuff a lot of items in their shopping carts.

Interesting idea. Thanks for sharing it!
Did you register RobotInjuryLawyers? That sounds like a really good one!
Language and products are changing all of the time. There is probably still a lot of money to be made in domains.

You know, you have brought up an interesting area of keyword 'research', that of predicting trends and future niches.
I read a lot of tech and science blogs for this very reason and with several years worth of journals you can try and spot what's going to make it down into the mainstream marketplace. The fringe science of today is the gadget of tomorrow!
Buying up things like quantumcomputerreviews[dot]com or (even more outlandishly) robotinjurylawyers could put you in good stead for later in life

AAAGUH! What is this world coming to???? These are the same people who have "Holiday Trees" in December.
Thanks for sharing....I feel a blog post coming on.

lol, don't forget eight legged for mad people who have pet spiders

running out to register FourLeggedFriendsSupplies.com
-
lol how very odd... maybe four legged friends will be a good way to go
I love my dog to bits, but I don't reckon he'd be easily offended if I use the word "pet" for him. Some real crazies in this world.

My question is in regards to possible conflict in creating an additional website under a new domain for our company.
Our companies, Vulcan Information Packaging and ATC both live under the domain “www.binders.com”. This is a great thing as far as us dominating in the binder industry. However, in the next 2-3 years and forward, we want to build our presence as a company who offers packaging products such as boxes, marketing kits, and other forms of packaging. Obviously, the “binders.com” brand/domain does not contribute much to this effort and can be confusing to customers visiting the site. Essentially, we want to build an additional branding for our company in the packaging industry. Keeping this in mind, we own the domain “www.vulcaninformationpackaging.com” and we are considering building a new website using this domain which contains the word “packaging”. This new site would only promote and contain packaging related products. This new website will advertise and direct traffic to our company Vulcan Information Packaging, which is the same company “binders.com” directs traffic to. So my question is to determine whether doing this might be a practice that Google and other search engines might frown upon. I tend to think it will be fine because we will be promoting and driving traffic for non-binder products where as, binders.com is heavily in binder related products. thank you, Dominic Zaidan

Google+ SERP Visibility For Non Branded Keywords
Hi, I've noticed that a competitors Google+ box is appearing on the right hand side of the Google UK SERPs for a non-branded keyword (open air balustrade). Please see attached image. I've always thought that the Google+ box would only be displayed in the SERPS for branded keywords. How is this Google+ box appearing for non-branded keywords? How can we improve our chances of our Google+ box being shown instead? Many thanks in advance, Lee. vDm914D

Passing "link juice" from old domain to new domain
I am purchasing several websites from the company I work for and starting my own company. 1.The websites have not been updated in several years
Branding | | RoxBrock
2. The websites have poor SEO rankings
3. Though bad inbound links have been removed, there may still be some added by a black-hat SEO company I would like to start a new website and move all the content to that site. My questions are: 1. Will it hurt my new website rankings if I redirect the old site content to my new site and delete the old sites--due to possible bad inbound links, losing rank due to redirects (I have lost rank from redirecting in the past)? 2. If related, isn't it better to put all the content on one website? Thank you.0 -
Kickstarting a New Site
We have recently launched a new website, (domain has been registered to us for a time - just never got round to developing the website). Any suggestions on kickstarting quality traffic to get the ball rolling? Basic on page SEO work has been done and a little bit of link building, although the latter has been rather difficult to find bona fides sources. So far most of the traffic comes via referrals from bot's no actual valuable referrals or organic traffic (According to GA). And by the way, I'm NOT interested in people offering traffic bots 🙂 I'm just looking at ways of getting the site established organically, not interested in PPC at the minute. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. P.S. Please keep your answers as short as possible, I will request if I need any more information. Also please note down if you had a positive experience of your suggestion actually working. Many Thanks

Can i use the same keyword or similar keyword on title tag of multiple page ?
Greetings support, I would like to know if i can use similar keywords into my index title tag and than the similar keyword into the title tag of another page from the same site. Example:The site selling ''Dubai Apartments'' ''Dubai Vacation Rentals'' ''Dubai Holiday Apartments'' and ''Dubai Accommodation'' and would like to rank the index page for ''Dubai City Apartments'' and ''Dubai Accommodation'' and the category page /apartments/ for ''Dubai Apartments'' Is this ok ? because I do not want to lose the rank for the index page because it's already higher for ''Dubai City Apartments'' and ''Dubai Apartments'' I also have use this title tag on the home page: Dubai City Apartments | Dubai Accommodation | sitename brand and than i have category page such: /apartments/ title Dubai Apartments | Dubai Apartment Rentals | brandname /vacation-rentals/ title Dubai Vacation Rentals | Holiday Rentals Dubai | brandname /holiday-apartments/ Dubai Holiday Apartments | Dubai Vacation Apartments | brandname P.S. What is the impact of the new google+ share button on SERP
Hello mozzers, I'm currently wondering what will be the impact of the new social signal ( Google+ Share ) on SERP an organic traffic. As we all know by now , Facebook share have an higher social signal authority then the Facebook like on SERP @Randfish posted some great info at: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/facebook-twitters-influence-google-search-rankings Since Google rolled out the new Google+ Share social signa at : https://developers.google.com/+/plugins/share/?utm_source=blog&utm_medium=gplusdevelopers&utm_campaign=shareplugin I was wondering if somebody had the chance to do some clear testing on the SERP impact of this new social signal even if its a fresh addition to the social signals. Best regards, Yan Desjardins - Online marketing manager

Brand(keyword) - dominate on SERP
Hi, I'm opening this topic here, to discuss about brand domination, but maybe more concentrated for europe countries than google.com Write here your suggestions, tactics, and more about social profiles and mini-blogs. For example, if we like to dominate for keyword "seomoz" than we will take some social profiles and miniblogs with seomoz, but write mroe about tactics to rank this profiles and miniblogs higher. Not only to create, but what kind of things to do regularly to have this profiles on top #10. ( miniblogs i mean like user.wordpress.com, user.blogger.com, user.tumblr.com etc.. ) Write here your tactics, but only if you are experienced on this! Thanks.
