Why my site is "STILL" violating the Google quality guidelines?
-
Hello,
I had a site with two topics: Fashion & Technology.
Due to the Panda Update I decided to change some things and one of those things was the separation of these two topics.
So, on June 21, I redirected (301) all the Fashion pages to a new domain.
The new domain performed well the first three days, but the rankings dropped later. Now, even the site doesn't rank for its own name.
So, I thought the website was penalized for any reason, and I sent a reconsideration to Google. In fact, five days later, Google confirmed that my site is "still violating the quality guidelines".
I don't understand. My original site was never penalized and the content is the same. And now when it is installed on the new domain becomes penalized just a few days later?
Is this penalization only a sandbox for the new domain? Or just until the old URLs disappear from the index (due to the 301 redirect)? Maybe Google thinks my new site is duplicating my old site?
Or just is a temporal prevention with new domains after a redirection in order to avoid spammers?
Maybe this is not a real penalization and I only need a little patience?
Or do you think my site is really violating the quality guidelines? (The domain is http://www.newclothing.co/)
The original domain where the fashion section was installed before is http://www.myddnetwork.com/ (As you can see it is now a tech blog without fashion sections)
The 301 redirect are working well. One example of redirected URLs:
http://www.myddnetwork.com/clothing-shoes-accessories/ (this is the homepage, but each page was redirected to its corresponding URL in the new domain).
I appreciate any advice.
Basically my fashion pages have dropped totally. Both, the new and old URLs are not ranking.

Hey, I was reading this discussion and I'm just curios to see if you had any success with reconsideration?
-
Hello Ryan,
Yes, it is indexed. But Google confirmed it is penalized. It is not ranking even when I put "newclothing.co" - The site was ranking for that the first three days.
But, as I said before, it is a confirmed penalized site.
-
Thank you very much!
The site is already in the GWT (since the beginning).
I know it is penalized because Google sent me a message. But, actually, it was after I sent a reconsideration request. They never sent me a message before, about issues in my site. And there is no malware according to GWT.
I will try to take out the adsense at the top and sent a new reconsideration.
This a great resource with great people.

The only thing that i have noticed which has already been said is the google adsense at the top besides that it is a great site and cannot see why google would have any problem with it.

Looking at your new site I see no reasons why it would not be indexed. Your page is returned with a valid 200 code. Your robots.txt file is fine. Your only external link from the home page is a feedburner rss feed. The content does not appear to contain spam, and there is enough content to index.
EDIT: Your site is indexed. I entered "http://www.newclothing.co/" as the search term and your site is the first one listed.

The first thing to do is claim the site at Google Webmaster Tools. Google often communicates to webmasters with problem sites there. You could have a malware problem, hidden text or other problems.
-
This is purely a guess, but I'd try the following:
Remove the ad at the top (it "could" be construed as misleading as it appears much like an internal navigation menu, with the links that are showing there seeming like links people should click on for categories on the site, when in fact it's an ad).
Then submit a re-inclusion again.
It's the only thing that really stands out to me.

Redirecting an Entire Site to a Page on Another Site?
So I have a site that I want to shut down http://vowrenewalsmaui.com and redirect to a dedicated Vow Renewals page I am making on this site here:  https://simplemauiwedding.net. My main question is: I don't want to lose all the authority of the pages and if I just redirect the site using my domain registrar's 301 redirect it will only redirect the main URL not all of the supporting pages, to my knowledge. How do I not lose all the authority of the supporting pages and still shut down the site and close down my site builder? I know if I leave the site up I can redirect all of the individual pages to corresponding pages on the other site, but I want to be done with it. Just trying to figure out if there is a better way than I know of. The domain is hosted through GoDaddy.

Keyword On Page 1 Everywhere but Google (Site Specific)
Website: www.wheelchairparts.com
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | Mike.Bean
Keyword: wheelchair parts My website is #1 or #2 on almost every search engine besides Google. Google has us bouncing between the bottom of page 2 and top of 3. However we are on page one for "wheelchairparts". I need to get a link building campaign going for this site. I feel it's more difficult for ecommerce websites and nothing seems to fit in with Rand's Mozcon 2016 Link Building talk except hacks. I need to find a flywheel. Either way, my question is what can I do other than link building to get on page 1 of Google for the term "wheelchair parts"? Thanks in advance! - Mike Bean1 -

The url is: http://www.oldermann.no/ Thank you

Can an "Event" in Structured Data For Google Be A Webinar?
I have a client who is has structured data for live business webinars. Google's documentation seems to talk more about music and tickets than this kind of thing. At the same time, we get an error in search console for "Name" and location, which they list as "webinar." Should I removed this failed structured data attempt or is there a way to fix it? Thanks!

What makes a site appear in Google Alerts? And does it mean anything?
Hi All, I recently started using Google Alerts more and more and while sites I support never appear there (not surprising) I recently noticed few very poor and low quality sites that do. This site for example appears quite a bit in its niche. So to my questions... What makes a site appear in Google Alerts? And does it mean anything? Thanks

Domain Authority: 23, Page Authority: 33, Can My Site Still Rank?
Greetings: Our New York City commercial real estate site is www.nyc-officespace-leader.com. Key MOZ metric are as follows: Domain Authority: 23
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | Kingalan1
Page Authority: 33
28 Root Domains linking to the site
179 Total Links. In the last six months domain authority, page authority, domains linking to the site have declined. We have focused on removing duplicate content and low quality links which may have had a negative impact on the above metrics. Our ranking has dropped greatly in the last two months. Could it be due to the above metrics? These numbers seem pretty bad. How can I reverse without engaging in any black hat behavior that could work against me in the future? Ideas?

I have been working on a site for 7 months, publishing articles each day. The site is dedicated to the niche that I am in. It was accepted in to Google news 1 week ago and I am now getting 3 times the amount of traffic. Its great news but I am now wondering how beneficial it is for me. I sell business management advice and really need to generate leads. Thats how I increase my business Any ideas how I could use this Google news site to do this?

Getting Google in index but display "parent" pages..
Greetings esteemed SEO experts - I'm hunting for advice: We operate an accommodation listings website. We monetize by listing position in search results, i.e. you pay more to get higher placing in the page. Because of this, while we want individual detailed listing pages to be indexed to get the value of the content, we don't really want them appearing in Google search results. We ideally want the "content value" to be attributed to the parent page - and google to display this as the link in the search results instead of the individual listing. Any ideas on how to achieve this?
