Internal Linking
-
Okay, if I write 10 different articles on my site that are related to one of my products. Can I safely have a link in every article to my product?
-
I would do one time on a page.

Hi Azguy
If you were to write an article and the written content contained huge amounts of links out then it can become less legible (depending on the styling used for hyperlinks) so from a usability perspective I wouldn't recommend that.
As the other responders suggest if you are just adding a few links to the article then that is sensible from an SEO standpoint but is also helpful to the website visitor who may naturally be interested in the product or service you mention in the article. Without the link they may have to go looking for the product/service page themselves whereas providing them easier access to the product makes a conversion more likely

Definitely. Use good consistent anchor text! Helps determine relevancy and importance of the product page!
-
How many times in a paragraph that contains the phrase "putting accuracy" should you be linking ? Just once, or for every mention of the phrase ?
-
Thanks, that's what I thought.
-
This is a smart thing to do.
-
Yes
If you have the x1000 Pro Golf Club that increases putting accuracy, then every time you talk about putting accuracy in any article you can link to the page. It is a perfectly common and recommended practice.
The most common example I can think of is wikipedia. You will notice anytime you type a phrase which is the name of another wiki page the anchor link is automatically created.

I have been targeting one keyword for home page that was ranking between the postilion 6-7 but was never ranking on 1st as there were 2 highly competitive keywords targeted on the same page, I changed the keyword to an internal service page to rank it on 1st, I have optimized the content as well but the home page is still ranking on 11th, how do I get the internal page rank on that keyword

International SEO (USA & UK)
Hi I have a client project site thats been operating successfully in the UK now for a few months and looking to expand offer to USA. Their dev team thinks best to have a UK & US subfolder with IP sniffer serving up the relevant version depending upon ip location Apart from price differences and some spelling differences content will likely be duplicate. Please can anyone offer advice in regard to the above such as links to latest international seo resources/articles etc (i have seen Aleydas great WBF). If anyone has any experience of above scenarios (i.e. knows of probs with ip sniffer method in regard to seo or essentially having dupe folders for uk & usa just with local differences) then any advice comments will be much appreciated ? Many Thanks Dan

Boosting page authority/rank by linking from blog
We're developing several blogs and I was wondering if it would make sense to periodically create blog entries that 'naturally' link to certain pages on the main site. For example we have a large amount of 'partners' across the country, and we wanted to do an interview series on the blog, and insert a link into the interview, such as "partner bob services the Boston area", or something more elegant than that. Would have have any significant impact on the 'boston page aside from the pass through traffic from the blog?"
