Anyone have an opinion about BrightEdge?
-
I'm going to sit in on a BrightEdge demo tomorrow, to see if the SEO services they offer might be right for a client of mine.
Just wondering -- Does anyone have experience using BrightEdge SEO services? If so, what is your opinion?
Any particular question I should be sure to ask the sales rep during the demo?
Thanks so much for any thoughts/suggestions. -- Jim

Hi Jim: Did you come a conclusion on BrightEdge? I am considering them as well.

Very helpful, James. Thank you! -- Jim

Hi,
I have never used the software as they don't offer it in my Country.
Yet if you are part of an agency/global - you could try and ask if they can leverage the pricing of the product if you will have more users.
Also I would research what they offer on the site, some sections such as Facebook SEO, I would ask more information about that.
Also if possible see if you can get a week test liscence, some software vendors do that it is worth it. Like the saying goes try before you buy some times demos can be rushed and you do not get the functionality till you try it.
Regards,
James.

The mystery of a SERP - Your Opinion is appreciated :)
I'm looking into the result set for "vehicle graphics" with local setting set as Irvine, CA. The first result is occupied by Airmark Co and its page "http://www.airmarkco.com/vehicle-graphics.html". Doing a quick scan of this site and its page it seems that a few things are way off. Low DA: 12 Low PA: 19 Company is located out side of the local area (Irvine, ca) Offsite links coming into the site are few with only one external domain (from the company that built the site) I'm comparing it to a site we launched a few months back, one that has a similar profile and yet is nowhere to be found -- http://www.calibersi.com/page/vehicle-graphics. Would love to hear your thoughts as to why this site is outranking much stronger and relevant local sites (based on the SERP's that are coming back) ?

Can anyone suggest a AHREF's alternative?
Hello Everyone,
Competitive Research | | Juratovic
Now that AHref's has killed their keyword analysis I am on the search for a substitute.I just can't see paying $80 per month for their link analysis only even-though I do find their link index to be much much much more updated then any other company even SeoMoz (sorry Rand and company). Does anyone have any suggestions? SemRush is the only one I have seen to come close. Thank you! Pete0 -

Can anyone explain this top-10 ranking?
How on earth can http://www.plimun.com/ be at #6 for "web design", with only 15 total linking root domains, and no mention of the term in link text?! See: http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/comparisons?site=www.plimun.com This is one of the biggest anomalies I've ever seen.

Does SEOMoz (or anyone) offer a measurement of "overlapping" links between 2+ domains?
I'm trying to judge how much incremental value we'd see from 301'ing an old domain vs. revitalizing the old domain's content. My gut feeling is that most of the links to the two sites are from the same set of websites so it wouldn't add much value to 301 the old domain. I've seen the opposite of this done with Competitive Link Analysis (e.g show links that you don't have that your competitor does have). Is there a tool available that can take 2 or more sites and tell me for instance - 72% of the inbound links or linking root domains are the same?

Anyone have experience with "Link Research Tools" ?
I'm looking into Linkresearchtools.com for competitive backlink analysis. Already have SEOmoz (obviously) and Majestic. Anyone have any experience with the toolset? If so, what does it do well, what do you like, and where does it fall down? Cheers
