Google Plus Business Page
-
I'm curious to see if anyone has come up against this same thing and how Google will respond to it. I work with a franchise company that has hundreds of locations. The company has unique sub pages set up for each location and a Google Places listing for each location.
My question is can I set up a Google Plus business pages for each location, with the same name (different address), and all within one gmail address.
My concerns are that when you select "Local Business" as the category for the Plus page it asks for a phone number. Well, after I insert the phone number it accurately pulls up our Place listing. However, my concern is having multiple Plus pages with the same Name in the "basic info" section. Will Google Plus reject multiple pages with the same name?
I also don't want to change the name on the plus page and then cause a duplicate listing created in Google Places, due to the same address different name connection. I suspect a merge between Pages and Places so I don't want to negatively impact my Place listings.
Any thoughts on this or Franchise Plus Pages?

Hello
I got the same issue. In our case we did a page by subsidiary in Google page entreprise and one for the main group in google page.
It's not the best but anyway it's working fine.

Thanks for the response. My general feeling is to wait and see what they come out with officially, since there's a lot of people that feel strongly that they'll be rolling up Places pages with Plus pages in some format or another.
I think they might do a master brand page on Plus since there's no reason to split everything apart, and then find a good way to show location-specific information on a personalized basis. Just my hunch.

We haven't created Plus Pages for their locations yet. Too risky since one of our main products is working with their Place Pages.

No answer but I'd love to hear the solution you came up with for this situation.

Google+ Brand Page in Knowledge Graph
We've been unsuccessfully trying to get our brand's Google+ page listed in the Knowledge Graph for our brand. I believe that our markup on our website is correct. Can anyone advise on why we can't get this to pull up in the knowledge graph? Why does someone's FB page rank so highly?
Hi Everyone, i recently ran a non-personalized search and saw that this facebook page https://www.facebook.com/tampapersonalinjurylawyers ranked very highly for both "personal injury attorney" and "tampa personal injury attorney." The page has very few likes, and they don't even post that often. From my limited knowledge, that leaves me guessing it's because its a quasi-exact match facebook page, but that can't be right...can it? (Ranking screenshot is attached) Thanks, Ruben GO4N11x

Facebook Likes, Google +1s tactic - is this a good idea
Hello, For our eCommerce site, we're considering doing the following: When people call in to place an order by phone, we take their order and tell them while we have them on the phone that if they click the Facebook Like button and Google +1 button on our site's home page, we'll knock $3 off their total. We would just show them where the buttons are and refresh our screen to make sure the count went up by one like and one +1 when the customer said that they pressed the buttons. Then, we would continue with their phone order and just knock off $3.00 I may not do this just because it may be grey hat, but it seems 100% safe forever. If you recommend against doing this, can you think of any 100% white hat way to do the same thing? Thanks.

Google+ I set up a profile as my business a while back. Should I change to a page NOW?
A while back, can't remember when, I set up a profile page under my business name. It has recently started picking up a bit of momentum but I am concerned it is not in line with Google's policy and will eventually get removed. I don't want to invest any more effort into this profile if this is likely so am looking at moving my efforts to a page. Any ideas / recommendations? Thanks,

How does Google measure FB likes?
Hi, I am wondering how an FB like made on a webpage can have a positive impact in its Google rankings. How does Google measure an FB like of a Person (especially with a non public profile)? Kind Regards, Sebastian

Google+'s +1 for business....
I'm thinking (and I could be wrong) that eventually the number of people that have +1'd a site will begin to impact search results. After all, it is Google's platform. What are your thoughts on this? And do you know if having someone +1 your site is different than having them "follow" you or add you to their circles? Should a business have more followers or +1's?

Social Media Plugins advice - Google+ Pages - what is best for SEO?
I'm seeking some social media plugin advice, in relation to SEO. This may not be possible to answer yet, or ever? But it could be worth a discussion. As far as i can see, there are two main forms of plugins (taking facebook as an example): 1 that directly connects a user to your brand page on said platform (eg like us on facebook) 1 that allows a user to 'like', 'share', 'recommend' the page that you are on as a sign of respect and/or sharing content For a home page, I am confused as to which one to use, without filling out the whole page with plugins. One objective is to increase fan numbers, the other is to increase content sharing, and possibly SEO? I've noticed that Google has been returning some personalised results based on mine, or my google+ connections +1's. So to the question... Do you think having more fans on the new Google Pages for business accounts will improve SEO to the same, if not higher weighting than a +1 does? and therefore is it more important to get more brand page followers, or +1's of the homepage?
