2 Titles

The analysis said that I have two titles on our main page. www.msperformanceonline.com the 1st is "Camaro Accessories, Camaro Parts, MS Performance" and the second is ( and""). I have looked and can't find out where it is!?! I been looking for hours through the code. Is there anything else I can use to find it? I Anyone's help will be appreciated.

You know, I'd leave in the msvalidate and remove everything else. Bing is offering a LOT more information in their webmaster tools and this now means that you have some historical information built up in your webmaster tools account (presuming it was installed correctly).

I was speculating that the Dual Titles would enhance Googles perception of the page since there are two authoritative statements of what the page is about. From your remarks I am seeing this is not the case. Thank you for your wisdom and insight! Good luck on your quests for Page 1!

If you're not using bing webmaster tools and you didn't add the msvalidate code then I think you can delete all the html that I quoted in my earlier answer.

I suspect having a second blank title tag isn't going to hurt you too badly. The engines are unlikely to decide to use blank content to represent your page in the SERPS.
If you had multiple title tags with different content then there's going to be possible confusion!

Ya know I'm not sure. I don't use bing tools. Just yahoo, google and now seomoz. I might add that seomoz kicks butt and I have only been using it for a day or 2. But anyway I took out the title tags but not the whole code. Hopefully that will work.

2 titles can cause ranking problems. search engines get confused when there are more than 1. Plainly speaking it just isn't good for seo.

I'm seeing two titles in there. View source on the home page, then do a control-f for find in your browser, and search for the word title. The second one is right below the msvalidate.

Titling and H1 Tag Question
What to do if you have hundreds of thousands of a particular product. Comic Books for example. Is it ok to have the words Comic Book in the title and H1 tag as long as it is qualified? For example, if I have the following as both the Title tag and the H1 tag. Comic Book - Spider Man Versus Wolverine Comic Book - Silver Surfer Goes Home to Visit Mom. Comic Book - Superman Gets a New Kitten Comic Book - Wonder Woman is More Wonderful Than You Know As of now, I have been doing it this way, but only in the title tag. However, Google has been using my H1 tag as my title, so in the search results, I am only getting: "Superman Gets a New Kitten" And I am afraid that that is leaving out important info for searchers, especially qualifying that the product is a Comic Book and if someone is searching for a Comic Book, I need that to return. But I don't want any 'more' trouble from the Panda. Again, this will be hundreds of thousands of products. Thanks for your help! Craig

The effect of having CR LF HT commands in a <title>tag</title>
Hello. I am looking at a customer site with a CMS system that is controlling the population of the meta TITLE Currently it has the TITLE set as this <title>(CR)(LF)<br />(HT)Site Details REMOVED - Customer name REMOVED(CR)(LF)<br /></title> Naturally, we would prefer it to be <title>Site Details REMOVED - Customer name REMOVED</title> What affect would these commands have in the title! Google shows their title when you Google the company website... so I guess it can see it .... but GA "Top Site Content" widget shows it as blank ? Any ideas? Cheers

Is Google indexing something I can't see on my page title?
When I do a search for my businesses website (colourpages.com) it returns a listing which is great but the title tag includes Hull Colour Pages which is our old brand name - we changed to colourpages.com 2 years ago yet Hull Colour Pages is still pulling through on the title tag. I have checked the source and it's as follows: <title>Plumbers in Hull - Reviews - colourpages.com</title> I have attached a photo which shows the issue - http://imgur.com/Cva3001 Is Google indexing it from old history that is no longer visible or am I missing something? Keywords on title
hi, some pages of my website showing keywords attached in google as part of page title, but the title doesn't have that keyword in it. SEOMOZ returns duplicate title and description
Hi, When SEOMOZ returns the crawl report results and it shows duplicate descriptions, is it referring to the meta description or is it referring to the actual product description? I have up to 30 products for many different sports teams. Since I have 30 products for as many teams, most of my products are the same and he only thing I did when I populated the site was to change the team name. Keyword Repetition in Title Tag
I am managing an online pharmacy website which has thousands of pages. I'm creating title tags for the pages that currently have automated tags.

I generally choose a word, find the next best alternative and merge them in the title.
Often this results in repetition of 2-3 words. Examples below:-
Title:- Skincare Treatment, Buy Skincare Products Discounted at Online Pharmacy Title:- Nebulisers, Buy Nebulisers UK Discounted at Online Pharmacy Title:- Electronic Dictionaries, Buy Best Electronic Dictionaries Discounted at Online Pharmacy Title:- Cat Skin Care, Buy Cat Skin Care Products Discounted at Online Pharmacy Are these OK or would Google penalize us for it?0 -
Page title
So if we have a main category page on our site (mines an ecommerce site), do we go for more than that main keyword phrase for that category of products, or is it better to just keep it by itself, and not utilize the 65-70 characters available?
