Recommended SEO company/expert

It's as simple as the title. We're a well established ecommerce company about to move away from the actinic platform on to a new magento site. Of late our long held rankings have slipped and we are looking for guidance in making up the lost ground and getting the most SEO wise from magento.
Thanks is advance.

This would have been my prefered route too, however no one i know can recommend anyone!
I may be able to continue on my own, i just feel a bit stale and sometimes i feel i can't see the wood for the trees..

My advice, even with 13 years in the industry now is to get a personal reference from someone you might know who is currently working with someone who is good at what they do. Plain and simple
Personal references for work like this are always #1 in my book. I also find it easier to talk with the client, becuase they already have a sense of who you are having gotten the reference from someone they know and trust.
Just my 2 cents Cheers,

I have two suggestions:
-
Try the list at http://www.seomoz.org/marketplace/companies/recommended
-
PM me or email me at adam@rypmarketing.com - I'm a partner in a SEO agency, and we get pretty good results if I do say so myself.

SEO can id and class be used in H1?
Can ID and class be used in my H1 tag. I realize best case would be to change it, but it's going to require a change order from the ecommerce company to fix their sloppy code. Will this hurt seo? Example:

Google Authorship for SEO Content Writers
I am interested to know the best way to go about about Google authorship on blog articles written for a client. For example is it a bad idea for an SEO content writer to publish articles under their own identity, what are the potential footprint downsides to this?

Is content aggregation good SEO?
I didn't see this topic specifically addressed here: what's the current thinking on using content aggregation for SEO purposes? I'll use flavors.me as an example. Flavors.me lets you set up a domain that pulls in content from a variety of services (Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, RSS, etc.). There's also a limited ability to publish unique content as well. So let's say that we've got MyDomain.com set up, and most of the content is being drawn in from other services. So there's blog posts from WordPress.com, videos from YouTube, a photo gallery from Flickr, etc. How would Google look at this scenario? Is MyDomain.com simply scraped content from the other (more authoritative) sources? Is the aggregated content perceived to "belong" to MyDomain.com or not? And most importantly, if you're aggregating a lot of content related to Topic X, will this content aggregation help MyDomain.com rank for Topic X? Looking forward to the community's thoughts. Thanks!

Hotspot area for SEO
Hi, we have an online store: http://www.redwrappings.com.au/ There's been a debate regarding which area is recognised to be the most important place/hotspot for SEO: Free delivery van area (top left panel) OR Top menu navigation Given that if you look at the page html source code, the top navigation loads last and the free delivery fan area is the first one to be read in the html source code. We did this because we want the body page content (h1 & text content) to be read first by search engine robot & also the body can load faster for the user. Is this the right thing to do or we better off load the top navigation first? Thanks

Optimizing for Date Sensitive Products/Services
We have a product that we currently rank number one for, but would like to capture the date modified variations of the term (such as event 2011 or product 2012). My question is - what would be the best way to optimize for a date senstive product/service? Would it be better to include the date variation of the term on the main page for the product? Or should we create a new page entirely to capture this variation? I lean towards optimizing the existing page because the intent is the same whether a user is searching for product or product 2012. I should mention that the previous year versions of the product are not available. Merci. Chris Thompson
