Google anomaly
-
Hi,
As per Google's Keyword Tool , the exact search volume for a particular keyword is 22000.
As per Google's Webmaster Tool , my SER for the same keyword is 5.8
BUT , I see only 500 impressions for this keyword in webmaster !
Can someone help decipher this behavior ?
-
Thanks Mate

It is because in AdWords KT Google estimates potential on global and local market.
In webmaster tools, when localization is not specified google collect data in a specific way, can say it's a measure of a propagation of particular site (written in e.g. english) in many local markets which are use that language.
Result is neither global nor local. Result is specific for particular site, language and many other factors responsible for spreading a content in many places. Please that it is correct for assumption that localization of a site is not set.
In other cases local results from GKT and local from GWT are comparable.
Hope my explanation clarified your doubts
-
Sry about the confusion ... I mean certain keywords in GKT have search volume around 22000 and GWT impressions around 15000. Why does not these keywords show "local" impression only in GWT
-
Sorry I don't understand, could you please ask clearly, what is search volume? in GWT?
-
But what about other keywords which GWT search volume around 22000 and GWT impressions around 15000
How do these keywords fit in entire scheme of things ?

If you didn't choose a geographic location google use different signals:
"If no information is entered in Webmaster Tools, we'll rely largely on the site's country domain (.ca, .de, etc.). If an international domain (.com, .org, .eu, etc) has been used, we'll rely on several signals, including IP address, location information on the page, links to the page, and any relevant information from Google Places."
more: GWT help
so your traffic can be for example from many english speaking countries
-
It depends - probably for google.com did you localize a site?
-
Correct ..
22000 is for Global in Google KWT
In google WT i have not set Geographic target
So which country say USA , Canada is the search impression for ?
-
Hello,
did you check what kind of searches is result from GKT? Global or local. In Google WT only the local searches are presented - just check it first

Google Analytics - Next Page Path is the Same URL?
Hey Everyone, I have a Google analytics question. I'm looking through a client's site and when I look at the next page path, I get the same URL as the next path. For example, on the homepage, the next page path I get is the homepage again? This happens for all URL's, is this an implementation error? Is there a way to fix this? Thanks!

Behavior Flow vs. All Pages report in Google Analytics
In the interest of determining why our ecommerce site isn't converting, I've been spending some quality time with GA. I've suspected that our front page is part of the problem, especially where our organic traffic is concerned (we get a good deal of referral traffic from a link on an OEM's site). According to the Behavior Flow report under the Behavior section of GA, organic traffic to our home page is hemorrhaging (roughly 60% bounce rate). But when I went to the All Pages report (Behavior > Site Content > All Pages) and looked at organic traffic to our home page, then looked at the Medium as a secondary dimension, I'm getting a bounce rate of 35%. Why the massive discrepancy? Can somebody assist?

Google Places Over Reporting Directions Requests to a Business
I posted a screenshot of a client's Google Places profile reporting strange statistics for driving/direction requests to my website. The post is here: http://www.hoodwebmanagement.com/2054/weird-google-places-statistics/. Full info is there but I have attached a screenshot here as well. I'm wondering if anyone has seen this error with another local business - especially a local business that shares its exact address with another business, since I think that is the cause. weird-google-places-statistics.png?d407e3 weird-google-places-statistics.png?d407e3

Google analytics reality check?
Looking back over a 9 month period tracking analytics with getclicky my site showed a 29% bounce rate, with only about 1/4 of visitors spending 1 minute or less on my site. I've recently implemented GA (removed old clicky code) and although traffic is strong, my site now shows a bounce rate of about 82%. Engagement stats also show that 82% of visitors spend between 0-10 seconds on my site. My site is built on Wordpress and the GA tracking code wasn't placed directly in the footer, my developer built a field in the admin area to insert the UA number which automatically adds the code to all pages. I've checked the code and the tracking seems to appear on all pages. I took a look at AW Stats. It corroborates GA and says that 80% of visitors are spending 0-30 seconds on the site. Potential issues/clues: browser tests show small loading problems in Internet Explorer 7,8,9 (the phone number at the top of the header loads on the wrong side of the page) and major issues in Internet Explorer 6 (site doesn't load at all in IE 6). The thing is no one who uses IE 6 is coming to the site. Second, the site gets a grade of C in YSlow, it's not lightning fast at the moment. GA is showing average page load of 2.4 seconds, but don't think either of these issues should cause an 82% 0-10 seconds engagement number. My site is content rich/focused with very minimal advertising. Content is accessible well above the fold. My question: Does the fact that AW Stats and GA agree mean that those numbers are accurate, or is there a bug I should be looking for? How to explain the clicky numbers?

Google Product Feed help
Hello, We are working with a particular service that uses our Google product feed to pull information. We wanted to add product info such as dimensions and hex colors for each product to better service the third party we are using, but we not sure if this is something Google supports in their feed. Would it cause any problems if we added that info in? Thanks for any help! Also, my knowledge regarding a Google product feed is lacking so if the question is confusing or I didn't give enough info on our situation just let me know and I'll do what I can to better explain.

Track Google/Bing Shopping as Referrer
Is there a way to track Google & Bing Shopping referrals independent of standard Google/Bing tracking? It would be nice if we could see the difference between Google PPC, Google Organic & Google Shopping. I notice in analytics that we get some traffic from google/ppc, some from google/organic, some from google.com/referral (not sure what this is), and some from googlebase/cse (I know this is Google shopping, but I don't think it's tracking all shopping referral visits as this).

Seeing / and no / in Google Analytics
When I look at my Google Analytics code, I see that the same content will show up twice, once with a / at the end of the URL, and once without. My site is at http://www.skypeenglishclasses.com. Does anyone know why this would happen? Is it duplicate content?
