I think Highland has a nice idea that could be developed. Here is another. Take Highlands idea and put 5 people in the first 15 to twenty seconds, then show the finished result (time lapse) in the next 15 to 20 seconds. After that slowly reveal who is whom. You can always be a force for good and at the very end show the artist giving time to a lower socio economic group of girls, an elderly home, etc. I must say a charity we have worked with for a while has provided teenaged girls with makeup, perfume, etc. from high end retailers during Christmas. Girls that would not have gotten these any other way. It really does have an impact.
End the video with make up can change anything - even lives.

Will posting an article from my website to LinkedIn mean its duplicate content?
Hi everyone, I'm currently writing my first blog post for my new business, and initially it was intended to be written for my website and then have it shared as a link via Social Media. However, I notice now that LinkedIn allow you to post self written articles to it's website directly and that these are then linked to your profile. My question is if I write my blog post as intended, and then publish it separately to LinkedIn, will search engines see this and think I am duplicating content? If so, roughly how much of the content would I have to change in order to avoid this? Thanks!

Value in content from website being shared across social media?
I asked this question a couple of days ago. Would be great if anyone has some good insight: I write content on my site, which I immediately share across Twitter, FB and Google+. Will Google view me as active on social media with this onsite content I distribute across social media sites (basically creating duplicate info across social media, which already is on my site) or will I be seen as less active on social media since I do not write original content on the social media sites, but rather use content from my site and distribute across social media.

Value in content from website being shared across social media?
If I write content (small career advice quotes) on my website and I distribute across Twitter and FB I assume my site will get the full credit (from an SEO perspective) since that is where the content was originally uploaded. However, will I still get SEO credit for being active on social media, or will Google view it as duplicate content and evaluate that I am not active on social media? thank you

Google Places - Local Biz Listing
I have an online only website (no brick and mortar storefront). I heard somewhere that if I create a Google Local Places account, this is not good for online shops. Something to do with it taking the place of my website's SERP ranking. Is this true? Are there any downsides to it? I know I would need to hide the location so people don't come to my house.

How to get most out of viral blog traffic?
Our website has a WordPress blog, hosted at website.com/blog. I've discovered that with some hard work and a bit of luck, I can create a blog posts that will go viral - they will get about 50k readers in 1-3 days (which is a LOT for our website), and 300-1000 tweets, 100-250 Facebook shares, and anywhere from 10 to 130~ G+1s. (Unfortunately, these are for the posts, not for our website.) The posts will also get some comments. And most importantly, a few links - sometimes from very reputable domains. However, I feel that I could be doing much more here. The links go directly to the blog post, and I'm not sure how much is that helping our website overall in regards to SEO. What actions can I encourage the readers to do, and how should I prioritize them? Some of the actions are: Sharing/liking, writing a comment, checking out our products, subscribing to our Facebook/Twitter/G+ profile, subscribing to our RSS. One another possible action/opportunity that I see and which could potentially pay off is to offer some kind of PDF report to be emailed, which would initiate an autoresponder sequence. Do you think that having a clear call to action in a blog post could reduce the sharing of it ? Is it possible to encourage whoever is writing about our blog posts to use a direct link to our website, instead of linking directly to the post? If yes, how? E.g. if I included a direct link to our website in the post itself, e.g. in the most important part of the post that gets quoted, it could work - unfortunately that's usually virtually impossible. Am I sitting on a gold mine here, and should do this as much as possible? Should I consider putting this content not just onto the blog, but on our website.com/something ? I'm actually not sure how that would help though, it would simply have a shorter URL. I've discovered that it doesn't matter where I post this content, if the presentation looks decent. So it doesn't have to be posted on website.com/blog. I can even post it on other domains - should I? And the most important question: How do I get the most out of this opportunity in SEO regards? First Attempt at Local SEO
Hi everyone, I've only been a member for a few days but this community is extremely supportive of one another, and I appreciate that very much. Here's my current project. I've done IM for awhile but now I'm helping a massage therapist with his personal brand here in Chicago. I've used the tools here to identify a few of the bigger sites and ten local keywords that he'd like to rank for - things like chicago massage, cheap massage therapy, and chicago reiki, his favorite. I'm currently getting him set up with Google Places properly so he shows up there. We have a Facebook and Twitter underway. We have a blog he can use if he wants - though I'm not sure how insistent he's going to stay. I'm planning a separate page targeting each of the keywords we're after. His competitors each have a couple local blogs talking about them, so I'm going to contact some local bloggers and offer them free massages in return for a review. He also is getting registered in some of the local business directories - mostly the ones I see the other sites already in. Finally, I was going to use some Build My Rank sites to bulk up his backlinks - maybe focus 10 on each keyword, with 5 going to the main keyword and 5 going to long tails. How does this sound for a simple, first SEO project? I'd love to hear some feedback, even if it's just "sounds great". I've never put one together for a client, and I'm thrilled/nervous. Thanks!
