Organic Search Results Display
-
If you do a Google search on northface a beautiful display of the search results is show in the number 1 organic position. How are they able to get this type of search results?
I have never seen anything like it before, and would like to have our search results displayed like this.

Thank You looks like my web designers have a whole new ball game to learn about if we want our content to show better on search results. Thanks for all your help!

Here's a good FAQ from Google about Instant Preview http://sites.google.com/site/webmasterhelpforum/en/faq-instant-previews.
They're showing up for your site as well. I searched for [freight monster] in Google and when I hovered over the links I saw the instant preview.

Thanks for showing me this link "http://support.google.com/websearch/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1055571" It answered my question exactly.
How do I get Google to use this feature on my Site? Or is it something that the website owner has no control over?
-
You're seeing Google Instant Previews. If you click again on those two right arrows by the link, you'll be able to toggle it off. Likely, you've been browsing with it disabled and clicked at just the right place to turn it on. You should be able to see that for many sites. It's something Google is doing, not just something Northface is doing. Check out the links in my other answer for some more information.

the attached url shows the screen shot

I will add a screen shot on my website at: freightmonster.com/screenshot.html

Ahh, I bet you're talking about Google Instant Previews! Check out Google's information at http://www.google.com/landing/instantpreviews/#a and http://support.google.com/websearch/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1055571. This came out in October 2010, per http://searchenginewatch.com/article/2050540/Google-Testing-Full-Page-Preview-in-SERPs.

Hi Steven,
Can you attach a screenshot and highlight the part you are interested in? Are you speaking of the sitelinks perhaps?
-
The fact that the returned organic search results shows not only the default four display lines; but, that there are additional actual page links. When you mouse over them, you see an image of the actual page.
-
Sorry, but i didn't understood what you talking about. What you mean by beautiful display

Website ROI for organic SEO
A potential client would like to see published industry reports on ROI for SEO projects before they commit to doing. Please could you point me to some credible industry reports that shows the direct impact of organic SEO. I think that it would help if this report had organic click through rates, an increase in organic traffic as well as ranking info. if available. Thanks.

What are the click-through rates by position for organic search on Google by industry?
I'm interested in knowing what the average CTRs are by industry (specifically for the credit card industry). Here's an example of what I want in aggregate (not by industry): http://searchengineland.com/organic-click-thru-rates-tumbling-study-97338 Is this information available?

Not schema, but a new kind of search result?
I came across this search result in Google and I've been racking my brain out in trying to figure out how they did it. Do a search for Novus CD4 and you'll see a search result where they list additional products from the landing page. I used Google's Rich Snippet tool to analyse the page and find no microdata at play. Any ideas how this was achieved? Have you guys come across anything like this? I was thinking of integrating this with schema to display rating stars and prices on an ecommerce site S4aL5.png

Then the client wanted the .com to be the main domain so we: Made the .com become primary domain for the hosting account. Changed the webmastertool account url to the .com Changed all .tv for .com in the sitemap and re-submit it. It's been a month now since the last mods and over a year the the primary domain was change but Google still displays Mummyzboy.tv in his results, any tips?

Will Search Engines implement timestamps?
We continuously receive comments on our partners' websites which are obviously spam from a third world country trying to build backlinks that some SEO firm outsourced. Out of curiosity, and what I've added to my prayers at night is for the search engines to apply an algorithm update to discredit comments posted under a certain time frame to help identify spam, and these garbage practices. Do you think something like this would happen? My most important thought is...how can we compete with companies that are doing these practices trying to get that quick buck? Look, we want to play the game with the highest ethics and morals and not "cheat" the system because we know a "work around". Thoughts...
