How much do you pay your copywriters?
-
Hey friends. How much do you pay your copywriters? Is it be piece? I'm looking to do three different price points:
- Paying for just the copywriting
- Coming up with ideas and the copywriting
- Copywriting and finding a source to publish said blog post
Thanks for your help!

You may want to check freelancer.com recently I got a bid of $250 from a reputed writing company for writing 25 articles with around 500 words each. This is the outsource rates. Its for sure that threads should be original and you may have to dig around a bit on your own to find what sells and what doesn't. If you want the posts SEO optimized then thats another ball game which I doubt these guys will be able to deliver for the price. Hope it helps!

I have an excellent copywriter. He is studying English at one of the UK's best universities. He does quite a lot for me in his spare time to earn extra £ for his university lifestyle. The work he carries out for me is outstanding and without trying to sound smug... He only charges me £6 an hour!
The beauty about him is that he researches the subject in great detail before writing the article and they always sound like they are written by a guru of that specific field.
I think once you have found a good one, you will stick with him for most of your copywriting work.
I would be willing to pass you his contact details should you wish but please don't pass this about - I dont want him to become too busy for me! haha!

I pay purely for copy at £150 for 1 4-500 word article. Obviously this is much less than what many charge.

Copywriting can cost anywhere from less than $10/hour if outsourced to Asian countries such as Malaysia, India or the Philippines, to $160/hour for a very capable, local (Australian) copywriter.
As you seem to have already worked out, the difference in payment tends to revolve around the work done to research, edit, optimise, and even test and revise the copy, in addition to "merely" writing it.
At the lower end, I would expect reasonablly well-written copy, but I would need to provide a detailed brief, usually with my own research, and I have to edit, and test the copy myself. Often, this work means I'd prefer to just write it myself anyway. But if I want a piece of truly great copy, written by someone who is a genuine professional, especially if it is a formal piece of work such as a whitepaper, I have no hesitation paying higher rates.

How to rank highly without much content?
Many pages on the web rank highly - even though they have no keyworded text. They might have listings, or just images. How do they achieve such high rankings? Is it just by getting lots of inbound links?

Under the million at Alexa Global: 947,374 after 49 days, thank you so much guys.
My small new blog today broke the Alexa million after 49 days. It's like you've a child that growing up between your hands. And you see it achieve Goal after goal even at his/her startup with basic skills which need some improvements. And at this point I feel like I'm not good enough because, after all, I'm not giving it what it deserves really (only 12 posts, some of them less than 200 words). I would like to thank my god, I do believe in him. Also, I would like to thank these authors and bloggers who techs me for four years about the value and the content and all this things. I read a lot of articles and posts. I remember that I read an article about the first rule which say write for someone not for something. I'm speaking to you directly and I think this is the point. I and you in one place and I speaking to you face to face. I received an advice from one of my reader in a comment and this mean a lot to me. What means there's a connection between us. What I've achieved is not a lot. But, I'm so happy with, as for a start up. What happened for now teaches me something and that's why I'm writing this post here. To tell something, that may help someone. From the day I entered here I've got a lot of help. I asked for thing and people helped me. I can say name, EGOL, Andy, Matt, Antonio, Donford, Dirk, Ross, Vic and Favilli. Thank you so much. In the next days maybe I'm going to leave Moz. I'm so confused about it really. Perhaps it's so early time to join. I've used nothing from Moz tools as I remember. Just the backlinks checker tool what gave me nothing and I sent a message to the help center and I got a useful reply for explaining the case but not helpful for the case itself. The case for me is, I've entered the supermarket searching for a specific android mobile phone and the supermarket got a very useful stuff, different mobiles types, laptops and other very helpful stuff. But, they don't have the specific android phone for me. So, I want to see what they got but, I've a primary need first. hmmmm, I don't know .. maybe. The most thing I loved at Moz is the community, you are really elite people guys and there's a girl I spoke with and I loved her really :D. Thank you for everything, you are the best.

Digital Marketing Copywriters
We are still in the hunt for "expert" digital marketing copywriters. While some previous mozzers recommended websites to visit, we're really interested in names to directly contact them. Help is much appreciated guys and girls! Thanks Gary

How does one write different pages of their website that are very similar in nature with using too much duplicate content?
We are a service provider and we have different links on our website to each of our services. The problem is the content that we would have for each is very similar. How can I ensure that it is not deemed duplicate content and ranked poorly because of it. Thanks

How much weight does UGC really have in SEO
Hi Guys....One of my sites has a blog and the site does very well overall.....however managing the blogs comments (fighting spam...attacks...general monitoring and approval) is becoming to much trouble. The blog itself really gets fed from facebook and most of the blog comments are done here. I am thinking of removing the comment section on the blog and only responding to facebook comments.....I am concerned though how much weight the "user generated content" carries with regards to SEO...it has always been said that it does carry weight but what if i get traffic to these pages and links but remove the comments ability... just really wanted to hear some opinions on this and how much respect i should give UGC. thanks for your time

Copywriters the ups and downs
We use several copy writers for regular blog posts and they do a great job. They rewrite breaking news stories and keep them as unique as possible to avoid duplicate content. When it comes to writing text for pages on websites they dont half take there time. I will need one to write a page of 2000 words at some point. Do you think that is a unfair task and what time limit would you look for on this. I am thinking 7 days. Whats the best ways of managing Copywriters to get the best out of them and making sure they keep content fresh.

Pay Per Post?
I have a PR 4/5 (it varies) blog with around 20-25k uniques a month. I'm wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a half-decent place to hire blog writers? Basically I would want someone to crawl disability news (I can provide tons of it, it autoposts to my 'Drafts' section on wordpress right now.). So basically would just need someone to re-write it. I also see lots of places pay you to write reviews of their products on your blog. Is there any service which effectively take control of content on your blog? They can post whatever they want (as long as it's not spammy and it's relevant to my niche) sell those reviews, and in exchange rewrite disability news articles for me? Thanks
