DA Vs PA

What is more important to to create a strong PA or a Strong DA? I do not do a ton of back linking to my index page. I focus more on my focus page I am working on. I watch a SEOMOZ video and I took that DA is the most important as he only did back links to his index if I understood right.

One follows the other, but of you mean should you concentrate on one page, i would say no, I would also consider your internal linking on how page rank flows thought your site, linking into your site disperse thought internal links to deeper pages.

DA without PA, Does it help?
My site has been getting great conversions for over a year, My lead count has been increasing monthly. But since january my traffic started decreasing then at the end of march the traffic dropped in half. I think it was called Update Fred. Yet i have only lost rankings for a few keywords.That i can see. I went from 30-40 leads per day down to 10 per day. The few keywords which dropped are most likely the guilty keywords i use to get my traffic from . At this point I started studying my backlinks to see how they are looking. I noticed alot of High DA links which mostly have PA-1.. My question is ...Will DA alone give me the link juice i need to gain top positions?

Root-Domain vs Subdomain Linkbuilding
Hello Mozzers! Couple of days ago I received a request to start optimizing a wordpress website, the domain itself has been around for around 10-12 years so it's it can be considered as one that has real history behind it. The page has been moved from HTML/FLASH to wordpress about 3 - 4 years ago and hasn't been any SEO maintenance on it. The site used to rank for first position with several keywords, but now understandably, it has greatly decreased. My main question would be, that when I've checked the root domain's and the subdomain's metrics with MOZ Open Site Explorer, the sub domain (with "www.") showed a PA 40 and 90 external links while the root domain (without "www.") only has 27 PA and 6 External links. I know that the 301 or server redirects only transfers about 90% of the link juice to the targeted URL but the difference between the 2 results seem way too big for me. What do you think? Is this normal?

During future link building is it more beneficial to target the root domain so the page won't lose that "10%" by redirecting the new link from sub-domain to root domain?

Low PA high DA
I've been reviewing the PA and DA of news releases on PRWeb.com. While PRWeb has a very high DA=96, the vast majority of news releases have a PA=1, even those that are several months or several years old. 1. What is the affect of a follow back link with PA=1 and DA=96? 2. Although the vast majority of news releases have a PA=1, there are a few with a PA=40 plus. Further analysis revealed that these pages had one or two back links from other root domains. So, it appears that it is possible to boost the PA of your news release by linking to it from another root domain. Would it be advisable to link to your own news release from other root domains so as to boost the PA, and thus have back links to your site with a good PA and excellent DA? Best,

How to improve ranking on .com vs 'local' .no
Hi I am ranking 1st for my main keyword (barneklær-childrens clothing) on google.no. I got a bit surprised to see we are close to bottom of page 2 for same keyword on google.com. This keyword is as you probably understandreally country specific because the norwegian letter -æ . So if I take a look at the list at google.com its really the same sites I am outranking on .no. For this keyword local stats pr month is 22k and global is 29k (from google adwords). Even though our site is norwegian only - all of the global traffic is relevant due to the fact that this is a norwegian only word. Main reason we are ranking first on google.no i think is that we ve had articles on the strongest and most relevant blogs in Norway. I am guessing we somehow need to improve our international linking profile - right ? Do i then need US sites ? Is it enough with sites outside Norway? Any suggestions, its not easy to get international links to a norwegian site only dealing with childrens clothing. Thanks in advance... Dan Lærum

I think that we as webmasters have to ask ourselves what do we want to achieve with link building. To get quick traffic or build slow authority links, high rankings, lead generation, sales & other things here I may be missing etcccc Other Objective Networking & Relationship Building Alliances : What I discovered today is that building links for 1st page rankings are great and will provide me with steady traffic, but not all of it is targeted traffic, but what else can I do to bring targeted traffic and at the same time try to build alliances with other related non competing business owners online. The idea... is to apply old school networking / relationship building alliances to get targeted traffic to my site that can actually benefit from my services. How Do We Achieve This I become a editor for approving resource links for me site, only the best will be placed on my site as a resource. Build a valuable tightly themed categorized resource section with related non competing resources that can help my sites visitors find what they are looking for, send visitors to non competing resources that may purchase their services which helps me build a relationship with them, and may can with rankings as well, provided I am selective with my qualification process. Getting a link from a page on a site with high site DA but low PA?
Does anyone know if it is still worth it getting a link from a page on a site with a really low Page Authority - say a news page on a site that has an SEO Moz tool bar PA of just 1 or 2, but the domain of the site has a high DA like say 83 Is this worth getting?? Thanks
