Here's a hard one! Why isn't my profile picture displaying as an avatar iin forums and blogs?
-
My profile pic is updated and displays on my profile but I still have the default avatar beside all forum and blog posts...
This is life or death... I must know the answer.
Thanks guys.
-
Hello!
I tried logging in and out, but my avatar still hasn't changed. Should I just wait for it to change?
Thanks!
-
Hi everyone, profile pics should display on Q&A now, effective the next time you log in. Thanks for your patience!
-
Now it makes sense. Thanks for the follow up.
-
It is a known bug that profile pictures aren't showing up in Q&A, and we're working on it.
Roberto, the profile page doesn't show Q&A questions, but it should show when you've commented on a blog post. Let me know if this isn't the case for you.
-
I am on the same boat. It has nothing to do with points. I also notice that in my profile page it does not show on the post and discussions that I am engage.
Any ideas?
-
Same here, maybe because I'm so shiny new and need more points.
-
Nice pic I hoe they approve it lol
-
You may want to ask this over on the helpdesk site https://seomoz.zendesk.com/home - while Moz team members routinely read and respond within the Q&A area, it's best to go there with this type of question - both to ensure tech support are the ones answering and to give them a heads up in case its a bug
-
Hahaha... sure did. Wouldn't be the first time I pulled something like that tho... It's showing in my profile (see attachment) just not as an avatar... strange.
-
Did you hit "choose file" and then "upload"? lol

How accurate is SEOMoz's keyword analysis tool?
For the most part, SEOMoz's keyword analysis tool has been in line with other tools like Adwords keyword tool with regards to competitive level. I have just encountered a keyword though that a client may choose to compete on that seems to be far off. keyword phrase: online math games Adwords competitive level: Low SEOMoz competitive level: 80 This seems like a sizeable difference (I know the two compare all results vs first page authority's, but typically they are in line with each other). With other related keywords for the industry in question, SEOMoz and Adwords seem to be in line. This one just got me thinking. I know the SEOMoz score is a sign of the strength of the top results and that the "low" score from Adwords may be a sign of much weaker results on the following pages (with a higher number of weaker pages vs fewer high authority outliers). **Question: ** How accurate is SEOMoz keyword analysis tool and what other keyword analysis tools are you guys/gals using that you like? I have tried others but many provide duplicate insights.

SeoMoz reporting 301 redirects I can't find
So I'm trying to find a bunch of redirects that SeoMoz is reporting that were created by Wordpress but I can't seem to find. I'm finding a bunch of redirects FROM pages like this: www.mysite.com/wp-content/themes/mimbo/page-name.com redirecting to www.mysite.com/page-name.com Anybody have any idea how I can track down the offending page that has a link to that url. I took a look at my templates and content with the pages and can't seem to find anything that would create it.

Over 90% of anchor text tends to be brand-name on OSE link profiles. Why?
I reported this as a bug in OSE, because often I explore these links and find that the pages include both a brand-name link AND a regular keyword link, but for some reason OSE was only reporting the brand-name link... This led me to wonder how many links this occurred for, and therefore whether or not to trust the fact that the majority of the sites I ran OSE on returned at least (in most cases, more) than 90% brand-name links. I understand that brand-name links are amongst the most important to obtain, but that it's also important to get anchor text for keywords to build a varied profile. Given this apparent flaw in OSE, is it wrong - in the case of very successful sites - to take this ~90% as being anywhere near the correct percentage of brand-name links that I should be aiming for as a proportion of the total profile? Extra Credit :)... And this may help potentially help resolve the issue: does "Inbound Links" tab in OSE just report links to the Root Domain, or to that and every other page on the site?

What's the best practice for tracking broad match traffic?
We use the Pro Web App for our keyword/ranking reporting. First, am I correct in assuming that this uses exact match to report the traffic? That being the case, is there a way in Moz (beyond entering endless permutations of our targeted keywords) to track traffic we're getting out of broad match searches? For example, say we optimized for and are tracking the keyword "lambada dancing llamas" for a company called Llarry's Llamas. Let's say that Moz reports little to no traffic for that keyword, but GoogleAnalytics indicates that we've gotten traffic from "larrys dancing llamas", "dancing llamas", "llarry llamas" and so on. So, obviously we're getting broad match traffic out of the lambada llamas, just not a lot of exact match, which is all that the Moz app shows. How do other people track this kind of traffic?

Why doesn't the BBB / Trustlink.org links show up in the Link Analysis?
I am curious why one of my client's main competitors (www.allbayhardwood.com) shows links from the Better Business Bureau and Trustlink.org (associated with BBB) but links from those sources do not show up for his domain (www.sanjosehardwoodfloors.com). He has been a BBB Acredited Business since 12/2010 and on file with them for probably as long as they have had the online version, which seems like plenty of time for the link to have been picked up. BBB has a very nice domain authority and it would be great to see these links show up. (they don't show up in webmaster tools either) Is there something I am missing? Thanks in advance guys and gals! (I know the site has other SEO issues - just getting started on pounding everything out.)
