How do I get the most links out of one QUALITY article/post??
-
Basically we are a small business (2 employees) we don't have the time or resources to be writing hundreds of original quality articles each week (nor do we have the time to write endless guest blogs each week) how do we gain links from one article? (not including poor quality article submission sites) And how do SEO's write so many guest blogs? for the returns on time invested!!! Confused Newbie, thanks in advance!!!

The other solution is to start your own personal search and you can find good quality writers.
It then depends on you having your own set of guidelines and requirements that they must adhere too.
amount to a copywriter. -
I agree. There are some good people on those sites but most of them have been trained to write $2 articles. Creating something that is "best on the web" is not what they are used to doing.

All of the content that we produce is placed on our own websites. We never give it away or sell it. When we publish a new piece of content it is often submitted by our visitors to reddit, stumbleupon, digg or slashdot. We have AddThis sharing buttons obviously placed on every pages of our site to make sharing easy for our visitors. If you have good content they will do that for you. We also ask our visitors to subscribe to our new content by RSS feed and email. We use feedburner for this.
This method takes patience. If you keep publishing good content the size of your site will grow, the number of SERPs that you appear in will grow, the number of subscribers will increase, the number of visitors will rise. If you have great content in a niche that people care about that will happen. If that isn't happening then you must ask yourself if anybody cares about your content. If not then you need a different business model.

They generally don't produce good quality content though...

This is the problem, we are a copywriting company by nature, and we know the content we produce is "quality" we spend on average 2 days writing one article. Where do we present these "quality" articles? Submitting articles to Ezine and article submission sites seems like we're throwing our great content into a black hole! How are we supposed to get an audience for this content? Are we missing a trick?

Hi Nicholas,
Have you looked into hiring a copywriter?
There are plenty of freelancers out there and all you would need to do is come up with the article ideas and brief them into the writer. You should look at some freelance writer sites such as:
http://www.studentgems.com/
https://www.elance.comThis way you can get great content (depending onb quality of writer you hire). The cost of this is dependant on who you hire and what your budget is.
I hope that helps somewhat.

We don't have the time or resources to be writing hundreds of original quality articles each week
I hear you.... But if you want the rankings you must fight for them. We have a three person biz.... One takes care of customers and the other two spend almost 100% of their time working on websites and creating content.
We are not making 100's of articles per week... maybe just one or two.
The problem with the word "quality" is that most people mistake crap for quality. They spend an hour on an article, call it "quality", toss it onto the site, then complain that nobody links to it. If you want your content to attract attention it has to be better than "pedestrian"... you need to make "best on the web".

Link building for big webite. 2500+ posts.
We run a big kids website: http://mocomi.com/ and have over 2500+ posts. Its about 2 years old now. No SEO was done on this site until the last two months when I was hired for SEO. I divided the SEO into 2 parts - on-page and off-page SEO. For the last 1.5 months I did the on-page fixing - correcting URLs, optimizing posts with best keywords, adding meta titles and descriptions to each post, 301 redirects etc. Now that on-page optimization is over, I have to do the off-page thing - build links. But with so much content I'm confused on how should I go forward. Among the 2500 posts I have listed down 700 posts that have real traffic potential so I'm planning to build links to these. But 700 is a huge number which includes our home page, 50+ category pages and rest are posts. So the question is how should I build links to these? Should I pick up each page and build links to it and move to next or as some people suggested, build most links to home page and category pages and that'll pass pagerank to my posts and help them rank. What link building plan would you suggest? Thanks in advance.

Best Blog Post Length to get Links
Okay, kind of silly question but i am looking for some help interpreting an analysis done by John Doherty almost a year ago: http://moz.com/blog/what-kind-of-content-gets-links-in-2012 In the document he mentions the correlation that longer posts on average receive more links but the graphs were really hard to interpret (for me). Based on the data what is the correct size we should shoot for (most graphs were missing labels). Any one have any insight? Should i shoot for 300 words per post, higher, etc? Thanks! Kyle

What I wanted to ask is all the experienced back link people is, Have you changed your back linking strategy. Or just parts of your strategies. Is there a software to help me check whether the sites that i give link to, also place my link on their site (reciprocal link)?
When i exchange links with others, i usually put their link on my site hoping that they'll do the same. Since it's impossible to check all sites whose link i have placed on my page to see if they have put a link back to me, i was wondering whether there is a kind of software to help me do that!

How to improve (ASAP) the linking root domain, the followed linking root domains and the linking C-Blocks? Linkbuilding (or whatever) techniques.
I have a small site (.com) like any website in my sector. 30-90 pages. I have no crawls errors. Everythings is fine, just I need to improve my linking root domain, the followed linking root domain and the linking C-Blocks. Example: my competitors have 300 (one of them have 1300) of total links. I have 30. Anyone know some good strategies? techniques? tips? I just dont want to be in a farm directory, I want free links. I'm already running two strategies but it works so slowly. I want something faster at this moment. Also, any recommendation will be thankful.

Should I optimize/link build all my pages at once?
I'm currently starting to optimize about 30 area specific pages for a property maintenance company and was wondering, what's the best way to link build multiple pages at once? Should I link build for all of the 30 the pages at once, or maybe focus on 5 individual pages - get them ranking well, then focus on the next 5 and so on?
