Transactional vs Informative Search
-
I have a page that id ranking quiet good (Page1) for the plural of a Keyword but it is just ranking on Page 3 for the Singular Keyword. For more then one Year I am working on Onpage and Offpage optimization to improve ranking for the singular term, without success.
Google is treating the two terms almost the same, when you search for term one also term 2 is marked in bold and the results are very similar.
The big difference between both terms is in my opinion that one is more for informational search the other one is more for transactional search.
Now i would be curious to know which factors could Google use to understand weather a search and a website is more transactional or informative?
Apart of mentioning: Buy now, Shop, Buy now, Shop, Special offer etc.
Any Ideas?

How to rank a transactional query
I have a webpage about bike tours in France with a list of bike tours in France. I imagaine people don't want a big paragraph about what a bike tour in France is because this is a transactional query and not an informational query. How do I go about ranking this page ? Would a good title tag and good description be enough to rank that page ? Thank you,

Not appearing when www.domainname.com.au is searched
We are working on an SEO campaign that has an issue, of which we are unsure of the cause. When the domain is searched for in Google as domainname.com.au. The search results show the website just fine. See here for the display of this. http://imgur.com/a/Vcbqs However, when the domain is searched for in Google as www.domainname.com.au. The search results do not display our website. See here to see this issue. http://imgur.com/a/jX692 We are unsure why our website does not appear in Google's listings when the www. is added in search. If anyone can help us here to explain and help us resolve this, that would be much appreciated.

Blog - subdomain vs. subfolderq
Hi everyone I work on an ecommerce site and I'm trying to get more content together for the site & blog. The development team want to put the blog we have on a subdomain of our site, my question is - what is better for SEO Subfolder vs. subdomain I've read a couple of articles to say subfolder is better and a subdomain needs a lot of management to build up authority itself? Thanks!

Fixing A Page Google Omits In Search
Hi, I have two pages ranking for the same keyword phrase. Unfortunately, the wrong page is ranking higher, and the other page, only ranks when you include the omitted results. When you have a page that only shows when its omitted, is that because the content is too similar in google's eyes? Could there be any other possible reason? The content really shouldn't be flagged as duplicate, but if this is the only reason, I can change it around some more. I'm just trying to figure out the root cause before I start messing with anything. Here are the two links, if that's necessary. http://www.kempruge.com/personal-injury/ http://www.kempruge.com/location/tampa/tampa-personal-injury-legal-attorneys/ Best, Ruben

Why is this page not being delivered for Google search result?
Hey folks, Figured I would try to get an experts insight on this. On google search result for BLACK TITANIUM RINGS + TITANIUM-JEWELRY.COM the page that I "think" should show up is this one: http://www.titanium-jewelry.com/black-titanium-rings.html However, it does not. Imho, this page is highly relevant. I used Rank Tracker here on seomoz.org and the page is not even in top 50 of search engine results for google. Our 'About Black Titanium Rings' page ranks #2 (http://www.titanium-jewelry.com/about-black-titanium.html) but the /black-titanium-rings.html page doesn't even rank. Any suggestions on what I could look at to figure out why this page is being penalized? We are not under a manual penalty (anymore!). Thanks! Ron

High search volume keywords
The problem is that our index is not in serps anymore with the high volume keywords (Pfizer, Roche, johnson & johnson).
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | bele
We still keep these keywords in title, but it brings not much results. We made page www.domain.com/pfizer , added there Pfizer products with unique descriptions.
Product pages started to drive visitors, but not the www.domain.com/pfizer page. If we add a blog to the top of this page and add unique posts about Pfizer company news, would it help?
In this case this page would be unique, refreshed with new info, and have rotating pfizer products. Maybe some other suggestions?0 -
Search Engine Blocked by robots.txt for Dynamic URLs
Today, I was checking crawl diagnostics for my website. I found warning for search engine blocked by robots.txt I have added following syntax to robots.txt file for all dynamic URLs. Disallow: /*?osCsid Disallow: /*?q= Disallow: /*?dir= Disallow: /*?p= Disallow: /*?limit= Disallow: /*review-form Dynamic URLs are as follow. http://www.vistastores.com/bar-stools?dir=desc&order=position http://www.vistastores.com/bathroom-lighting?p=2 and many more... So, Why should it shows me warning for this? Does it really matter or any other solution for these kind of dynamic URLs.
