Adding a glosssary
-
WE are adding a module to our site that will add a glossary.
It is going to add a link to the glossary where each word is used.
Should we add no follow to those? Or is there any other implication seo wise using this?
-
Now more than ever, site owners need to be extremely careful about setting up site glossaries. The shear volume of internal links can get out of hand fast, and over time, exponentially cause mass internal link confusion from an algorithmic perspective.
While I rarely (almost never) recommend bothering to try and figure out how to maximize the user of nofollow attributes, this is a rare exception, though the key is to also consider blocking the glossary from search engines altogether.
I also highly recommend reading articles Lindsay Wassell has written on robots.txt, rel=canonical, nofollow and related topics. There's a lot to consider on the best approach and she does a great job of breaking down all the alternatives, along with positive and negative impact considerations with each.

Adding CTAs in Meta Descriptions
Whats peoples opinions about putting Call To Cations CTAs in Meta Descriptions, and does this ever occur a Google penalty, as it can sometimes look a bit clickbait. For example I am looking at a site which currently has this meta description Meta Description: For more information on our sustainable, natural office furniture, click here to get in contact. Is this kind of description ranking unfriendly, Ive seen them used a lot but IM not a big fan of this myself. Any thoughts?

Thoughts on adding "near me" to title tag for local SEO?
I want to lean out my title tags and will most likely be doing an A/B test. They currently have the "Near Me" modifier in there, which I believe Google can distinguish local SEO without it. Thoughts?

Would adding noindex help?
I had completely forgotten that I have about 20 pages of content on my site that is an exact duplicate of other sites (i.e. obtained from PLR site). I really do not want to delete these pages as they do get a lot of visitors (or did before last algo updates). These visitors are not from organic search but have navigated to the pages from within my site. Question is should I a) add noindex to these pages and then ask google to remove them from index or b) try to rewrite them Many Thanks Simon

Adding keywords to URL's
I understand the importance of having the keyword in the URL (at least now I do). When I created my site (www.enchantingquotes.com), I was completely ignorant about SEO. So....question is...how do I go about adding keywords to already done pages? Do I create a new section and then redirect - or do I have to basically recreate pages? Thx much 🙂
