Why home page ranks higher than keyword-optimized page

We have a page that is optimized for the keyword "job scheduling". A search on the keyword "job scheduling" results in this page not ranking at all, while our home page (uc4.com) ranks third. Could you provide some ideas/suggestions as to why this would be the case and how to make our job scheduling page rank higher?

Hi Claudia
Your home page has both domain and page authority and has thousands of links to it.
The job scheduling page doesn't have any page authority and has no links to it as far as I can tell.
The job scheduling page has a URL of www.uc4.com/what-we-do/business-automation/job-scheduling.html where www.uc4.com/job-scheduling.html or www.uc4.com/products/job-scheduling.html would be more search engine friendly.
Just to let you know it took the homepage 150 seconds and the job scheduling page 180 seconds to load up. Please note that is seconds not milliseconds and even then the site didn't load up properly.

If you have links incoming to your home page with "job scheduling" in the anchor text, Google will see that page as more authoritative and relevant than a page on your site without any links to it. If you can build links with "job scheduling" in the anchor text to the optimized page not ranking, you'll have a better shot at it ranking ahead of your home page in the future.

Hi, I am trying to track a page optimization feature for one of my project, https://www.360degreespropertyinspections.com.au for keyword: property inspections melbourne but i keep getting this below error: "Page Optimization Error There was a problem loading this page. Please make sure the page is loading properly and that our user-agent, rogerbot, is not blocked from accessing this page." I checked robots.txt file, it all looks fine. Not sure what is the problem? Is it a problem with Moz or the website?

Optimizing images and more for page speed
Hey everyone! I run a comparison/affiliate site for men's clothing. On the side of that, I have a Squarespace site for inspiration, articles and outfit pictures. I've tried to optimize site speed for the Squarespace site without much success. I've run all pictures trough JPEGmini to decrease file size but it doesn't seem to be enough. Below I attached the result I got when I run one of the pages trough Lighthouse and GTmetrix. Do you have recommendations of what I can do to improve the results? Is it a good idea to use next-gen formats for pictures as Google suggests as an example? Kind regards,

Question about creating content pages for keywords
Good morning, We are trying to rank our India based company which provides the following services

MEP Design Services Our target audiences are in the US and UK. Offcource, we are targetting above services keywords on most of our main pages and created dedicated services pages too. But lately, we found out that we are ranking well for keywords like Outsourcing Engineering Design Services, Outsourcing Architectural Design Services, etc... which are actually very very good keywords in terms of closing the leads/inquiries as people are actually looking out for outsourcing but the search count for those keywords is low. (though we closed 2 inquiries from those keywords). These pages we created in past just to increase the content of the website. I really want to give it a try to target those keywords by creating more pages, blog posts, backlinks, etc... My question is if we create more and more pages around those keywords then will it affect the rankings of the pages which are already ranking for those keywords or will the new pages compete against those pages or the new pages will help to boost current pages? We can write good content and blog posts on the outsourcing topic but not sure if we should create new pages or increase the length of the existing pages. Can you guys please help with some directions on this as I really don't want to take the wrong route. Look forward! Regards0 -
Joomla Home Page Title Tag Issue
I have got a site that requires to have a custom title tag for its home page (primarily). Its using Joomla 3.3.1. I am not using any SEO components as of now. I have checked the the global configuration, It has Polymer Resources as the site name. I am also attaching copy of the Menu Manager>Main menu> home I would like to see the Home Page browser Title to read: Custom Engineered Plastic Resin | Polymer Resources But my current settings does not let me change the home page title. Can I target one keyword with 2~3 pages?
Since my website is targeting a very specific field, there are not many widely searched keywords. So I'm thinking of targeting one keyword with 2~3 pages. 1. I've read Neil Patel's blog post on how to create dual rankings to make your search listings stand out on Google. So I assume it's okay to target one keyword with several pages. (http://www.quicksprout.com/2012/07/30/4-steps-to-making-your-search-listings-stand-out-on-google/ Step #2 Create Dual Rankings) 2. But I've also read things on Keyword Cannibalism saying that if you target one keyword with several pages, they will compete with each other, and Google will get confused. I'm wondering, is it okay to target one keyword with 2~3 pages? And is there any smart way to do it ? Thanks.

Home Page Keywords not Ranking and Assigned to Inside Pages
Hi, thank you for taking the time to read this. We have a few websites with the same problem. I will use http://www.prepared-meals.com as an example: The home page was ranking on page one for keyword "Prepared Meals". The site is about 6 months old. We use the Moz page optimizer on all pages of our websites to score an A rating. Recently we found the home page is no longer showing up in search results and the keyword "prepared meals" now points to an inside page that is not relevant: http://www.prepared-meals.com/Senior-Meals/Moms-Meals-Reviews.html this page shows up for Prepared Meals around page 15 in Google results. We have read keywords in the URL might be the issue, even though the page optimizer in MOZ says to do that. We are wondering if this is the issue or there is some other problem we are not aware of. Title Tags: Does having the singular and plural version of the keyword hurt the ranking?
I'm wondering if there is a duplication issue with having a singular AND plural version of a keyword in the Title Tag. For example: Wood Desk - Wood Desks| Furniture Store Would this help or hurt my ranking for this URL? Framed Pages and Dynamic Pages
