Interlink suggestions while writing?
-
I am currently using Wordpress and am looking for php examples on how to find interlink suggestions from other posts/tags/categories while writing. Do you know of any?
-
Thanks for the Plugin Suggestion !

I know this is an older post, but can you tell me more about Zemanta...
Do you use it? What areas do you find it to be useful in?
-
For something a bit more impressive than just interlinking, why not check out Zemanta - http://www.zemanta.com/ which Rand mentioned in a blog post recently.
There's also a paid monthly SEO plugin that I cannot currently find that will go through your content and rate it, find interlinking opportunities and such like (among other things). Anybody remember what that is? Here it is - http://scribeseo.com/

With regards plugins the linkwithin is good for automatically adding an attractive option for readers to click through to more stories - http://www.linkwithin.com/learn

I'll have a look at the smart links plugin, seems like an interesting concept. Thanks for sharing!

There are many different plug-ins the Wordpress community have developed to do "related post searching" for you.
I'd run a search through the Wordpress plugin database to see if you can find anything that matches your needs before running off and developing your own PHP to do the same thing. One plugin I know of is Yet Another Related Posts Plug In. See if that happens to fit your needs.

Hi Laurent,
If its wordpress, I can think of a few plugins to help you there. SEO Smart links is a great plugin to help you in that respect. URL: http://www.prelovac.com/vladimir/wordpress-plugins/seo-smart-links
Then there is a popular post plugin which will showcase your popular posts in the sidebar. This is a great way to leverage you old/archived content.

Have any suggestions for next steps in link building campaign?
We are conducting SEO and white-hat link building campaign for a client that is in the national (US) fertility/infertility niche. So far we've done outreach to potential websites that we found to be a good fit for the campaign, although the conversion rate for getting Guest Posts, even Sponsored Posts is quite low. Furthermore, the number of these potential websites is close to running out and it's getting harder to find other websites with relevant metrics that are outreach-worthy. Besides Guest Post/Sponsored Post outreach, we've done Link Reclamation, Resource Links and Broken Link Building. Also, we tried expanding the list of keywords to try and come up with some new leads (in sub-niches) but haven't had much success. One peculiar thing that is happening when we do start a communication with the blog/website owners is that they get interested in the topic at first, up to the point of asking us to send them a Guest Post article and then.. silence, no response from them. We do a couple of follow-ups, but in most cases we don't hear back from them. We realize that there could be some editorial changes that they might want to be done, which we would be willing to do, but they just simply do not respond at all. When talking to other people in the SEO business we get different opinions on how to proceed, ranging from creation of web 2.0 properties and linking them up with video content and the client website, to even creating SEO link wheels. We are quite committed to our client and would love to get their site ranking, but we're reluctant to use tactics that might yield only short term results and might end up hurting the rankings on the long run. Other part of our strategy is creating quality content on our client's blog (within their website) and doing outreach to bloggers to get them interested in the topics that we are covering. So far these efforts have also not been very successful. Basically, my question is when you are doing a link building campaign for a client, what is your next strategy when the link opportunities run out?

Are breadcrumbs still relevant with interlinking?
Are keyword rich breadcrumbs still a beast practice when setting up navigation and internal links within the website?

When writing content, is it good to reference wikipedia for some definitions?
Example...we write a unique article about the materials used in our products, giving a more in depth insight into the types of metals and minerals used in the products. Such articles are aimed at a small number of customers that ask more detailed questions about some of our material. In explaining some of these materials, we reference, and credit for, classifications used from the definitions given in wikipedia. The rest of article is ours and unique. Is getting these links from an authority such as wikipedia a good idea? Thank you.

Should I interlink all the websites my company owns?
Our company has several websites where visitors can request quotes for home improvement. I'm thinking of making each site deeplink to each of our other sites, to create more linking domains and make all our sites help each other. Is this a good idea? Or will Google recognize that i'm only promoting our own websites and see this as a bad thing?

If I write a PR release on a site such as PRweb with anchor-text links that is picked up and published by other news sites, do the engines consider this duplicate content or additional, beneficial links?
I recently wrote a news release on PRweb that was picked up identically by 8 other news websites, with the same anchor-text links as the original. Is the reproduction of duplicate content and links across different websites like this to the benefit or detriment of SEO and ranking power? Some of the links are: http://www.mynewsdesk.com/uk/view/pressrelease/eventa-new-eventa-christmas-parties-website-is-launched-648923?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=Alert&utm_content=pressrelease http://www.prweb.com/releases/christmasparties/neweventasite/prweb8562064.htm Many thanks!!

Dirty Link Profile - Suggestions?
Ok, so I was just hired to do SEO for a company and so I did a backlink analysis. As it turns out, they've got a pretty dirty link profile - footer links, white on white links, unrelated links, tiny font links, links from penalized sites, hardly any branded links... you get it. I was thinking about taking the worst of the worst links, removing them and leaving the rest, just to clean it up a little. I don't want them to get penalized.... but... I don't want their rankings to drop either. Think I should leave them all and just start building relevant, branded links? OR Clean up the whole link profile? OR Just clean it up a little?

Would you suggest submitting a website to a travel platform which gets backlinks from link farms?
The website of the travel platform is well designed and looks serious - without any adsense or suspicious links on it. So does the email newsletter of them. But I checked the domain in OSE and saw not less links which came from more or less linkfarms with very often the same anchor text. Would you suggest your customer to submit on the platform?
