Google.co.uk (The Web or Pages From UK) Query?
-
Hi,
Google.co.uk is ambiguous at best, it is geo targeted for the UK, however, by default all results incorporate "The Web" meaning outside the UK. If a user wishes to filter to "Pages From UK" then they have to click that specifically.
Now my clients regularly ask me whether the traffic they are getting is from Google.co.uk (The Web) or Google.co.uk (Pages from UK) In analytics it combines these two as single source = Google.co.uk without any further breakdown, is there a way to figure this out. If I can split the figures then I can run necessary additional comparisons etc.
Regards
Ausaf

Xoffie,
Thanks for the heads up, but I will look into Hitwise for the project in question. I just wish to be in a position whereby I am able to quantity where to place concentration based on how visitors are finding client website's. If anyone does know anything within Analytic's that will really be cool!
Now off to enjoy the Queen's Jubilee celebrations! Everyone enjoy the weekend.

Wow Ausaf
Getting down and granular! Hitwise produce stats on this quite often so if you go across there you will find some info. I remember it being 13-14% when the "pages from the UK" question was posed pre-search but now its a toggle on off after search half way down the serps on the right that's bound to have fallen to a less significant figure.
Hitwise, I've never seen this in analytics, but I may be wrong... anyone?

Google Analytics Goals - Button Tracking
Does anyone know if there is a really easy way to track a button in Google Analytics yourself? It seems that most button click goal setups involve some use of tricky code and I'm wondering if there is a much easier way to do this that will allow us to simply setup and track certain button clicks as goal conversions in Analytics. Your help here is much appreciated!

What about this (google crawl)?
Recently we did a serious effort on SEO with SEO Yoast (Wordpress). And after a few months of tweaking old articles we get this impact on crawl search.. Is this graph normal? s1TQgv9.png

Google Analytics Code
We have a quick question about our Google Analytics code: We recently updated to a re-marketing Analytics code, and some of our traffic numbers seem to be off by a bit. I used the Google Tag Assistant Chrome Extension today, and noticed that it's finding our old Analytics code on our pages, but it's coming up as an error due to "no HTTP Response". I am attempting to remove this code from the website, but it is nowhere to be found in the HTML coding. Only the current one is there. So I'm wondering if this second Analytics code is effecting our traffic and reporting, even if the code is currently non-functional? and if it is, how could I go about removing it if it's not currently in our HTML? Thanks!

Google Analytics
Is there any way around being able to set up 20 goals in Analytics? What if one of my clients want to set up 10 pages with separate actions to track on each page. Will then each actions count as a separate goal? If this is the case, how could I work around creating more than 20 goals? Would I have to look into hiring/buying a third party or separate software? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Is Google analytics not working properly anymore?
Hi mozzers, We launched a website 2 months ago and when monitoring Organic data on GA we had an average of 23% bounce rate like a month ago but the last 2 weeks I noticed that bounce rate=0%. This is very weird especially that we haven't modified the existing pages and that multiple keywords show an average site duration of 0 seconds. Any thoughts about this discrepancy? Do you think that there is an issue with the GATC implemented? Thanks

Google Analytics Report throws up Google as a referrer
Good morning from Wet & Windy 12 degrees C wetherby UK... Using Google analytics I've noticed in the traffic sources refferer subsection some traffic is categorized as originating from Google. Whats puzzling me is.... I know a huge amount of traddic stems from Google but as the below screenshot illustrates only 21 visitors come from Google: http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc53/zymurgy_bucket/google-refferal-sources-top-levelcopy.jpg And when i drill down some are coming from Google mobile 😞 http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc53/zymurgy_bucket/google-referral-sourcescopy.jpg Is traffic categorised as Google referrer down to Google hiding searches via ssl as explained here: http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc53/zymurgy_bucket/google-referral-sourcescopy.jpg Any insights welcome 🙂

Cookie tracking in Google Analytics
Hi How do I remove the "/?__utma=...." at the end of my URLs?We have a site http://www.jetonline.co.za/, if you click on one of the menu navigation links i.e. "fashion". A long "/?__utma=...." url appears. I understand this is for tracking as we have separate domains for each page but is there a way to remove this dynamic url and keep it hidden from users? Thanks in advance
