Guest blogging

several people have suggested that i try guest blogging as a way to improve my site's position
but i am wondering how do i go about finding the right blogs to contribute to? for example, my clients are usually dentists. how do i know what would be a good blog to write to for that industry?
also, how do i link back to the site, in the content or the signature?

UI think you may be wasting your time, the term guest blogging once ment that a well trusted blog, may allow you to post some content because you are someone of authority in their area, a very rare occurance.
now what most people call guest blogging is posting to open blogs or paying to do so, anyone can do this and therfor not worth anything.
Search engines are not interested in how many blogs you can find to post in or how much money you spend doing so. they want to know how many people want to link to you because they feel your site has value.

Blog post outreach for backlinks
Hi all, My understanding of obtaining backlinks by way of blogpost outreach is that it's best to include several outbound links to related high domain websites within blog post copy (as well as a link to the website you're marketing, obviously) such as this post https://www.scoopearth.com/why-should-you-use-royalty-free-music-for-youtube-videos/ or this one https://small-bizsense.com/how-to-create-quality-content-for-your-business/. However, I've recently read a few articles that suggest that from a human perspective only having one clear link in the copy, such as this post https://www.clichemag.com/entertainment/movies/the-benefits-of-royalty-free-cinematic-music-for-your-videos/, increases the chance of the reader visiting the site in question. I guess the thinking is that if there's only one link to be clicked on it increases the chances of click-thru, as opposed to the reader possibly clicking on another external link that's only there because of current SEO advice. So is it best to follow SEO guidelines and include several outbound links within guest blog posts, or is it better to only have the one link to your client's site (to focus the readers attention on it)?

Dead/Broken links on old blogs
Hi We are currently trying to update our blog page on our website but quickly realized there are numerous dead or broken 404 links after clicking on anchor text from past blog posts. Our blog is set up in WordPress and we recently installed an SEO plug in with it. Some of these anchor texts don't actually need links and I want to unlink them, is there a simple way to do this on WordPress? Other anchor text I would like to "301 redirect" to another page. Can i do this on WordPress or is this something my SEO plugin should be able to fix? Answers are much appreciated! Thanks

Pr4 domain backlink from a blog post
I'm about to do a guest blog post on a pr4 domain. Will I be getting an actual pr4 backlink? I'm thinking since it's technically not going to be on the homepage forever since it's just a blog post and also a blog post has it's on page once you click on it I'm not going to get a pr4 backlink. Correct?

Moving off page blog to on page blog
Hi, I was using free wordpress blog and i have around 18-20 content on the blog. Now, we've managed to have blog on our main website which has www.mysite.com/blog extension. We did this so we could create more links on the website/ I am a little unsure how to move the blog now. Should we copy & paste the blog articles from old blog to new one and remove them from old blog? I am just not quite sure how would it effect the links. If i keep the old articles on the old blog and create new articles for the new one, it'll take me a while before i get them written. Any recommendation appreciated. Thanks

BLogs
Hello, We wanted to start hosting our own blog and was wondering (long term) if we are using embedding links to our inner pages in our blog entries if it would be a problem with Google long term? We have a designer that suggestes a custome look to match the site, and leave the wordpress plugin. Should we continue to contribute to blogger, and wordpress (free) if we are hosting our own blog? How important is a branded blog name? We were going to host it and name it xxxxxx.com/ourblog Thanks so much!!

Performancing.com guest blogging service ok?
Hi MozFans, A client is interested in working with the guest blogging service of performancing.com. They seem to have a lot of good contentwriters and post on (most) niche blogs. Guestblogging is a good thing for seo, when it's on relevant sites with a quality article.

The client hasn't got a lot of time to write and find blogs himself. Any positive or negative experiences?
Or other options 🙂 Thanks!1 -
Can Off-Topic Guest Posts on Quality Sites Hurt You?
Based on recent changes in Google, do you think that an off-topic guest post on a high quality domain will help you or hurt you or have no effect. An example would be if you published a guest article on SEOMoz about SEO but your website sells basketball shoes.
