Setting up facebook

can anyone tell me how to properly link my facebook page http://www.facebook.com/Shiftinsurance with my website www.shfitins.com.
On OSE it shows that I only have 1 FB like when i have 29. I would like to make sure this is accurate. thank you.

A few things, your site is not working when clicking on Facebook icon. It brings me to Facebook.com (i'm not logged in).
Another thing, you can get direct likes from your home page by using plugins like the "Like Box" that can be found here:
http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/.
Also OSE updates every month and they will be updating at the end of this month. This will update your FB likes assuming the likes are for your URL.

Can Hootsuite Really Monitor Competition Activity Across the Facebook, Linked & Twitter?
I'm going round and round in circles with this one as everytime I ask Hootsuite they tell me the same thing and it does not work so here we go... I want to monitor another competitors social media activity. Specifically i want to see if they are active in Facebook, Twitter & Linked in. But am i right in saying you can only monitor social activity of a competitor if you can connect Hootsuite to there social media account via a stream. Put another way imagine Lacoste say - "Right give me a report on what Nike is doing on facebook". Is Hootsuite useless unless you can connect it to Nikes Favebook business page? Maybe I'm using the wrong tool & hootsuite is limited or I'm a bit thick & it can be done. Any help welcome, I'm likely to be see jumping out of an office window in a town near you very very soon 😉

Just discovered this site http://northsocial.com/examples/ They charge a few dollars a day to use their Facebook apps. However, I am thinking it will be pretty simple to develop apps like these ourselves. Also, once the app is created we can use it for all of our social media accounts. Wanted to get some opinions on the matter. My questions are: 1. Do apps help generate more likes? 2. Can Apps be promoted? 3. Is it challenging to create a Facebook app? 4. Are Facebook apps worth investment of time?

Anyway to analyse Facebook Success?
Great news, yesterday we had a nice big spike of referrals from facebook, GA shows them all going to a certain article (an online magazine type site), but only shows them as coming from /l.php (Report: Traffic sources->referrals->facebook.com - secondary dimension landing page) Nobody in the office did anything with facebook and that article, so it must be a visitor; any ideas how we can find out any more details about who or why? It would be great to be able to reproduce as in the 4th April saw more FB traffic to us than March!

Facebook Like Quick Question
What is best practice for the Facebook like button, when a user clicks on like on your webpage should this go to your facebook page our should it contain your website url? The reason being is that on my homepage it shows as 5 likes but when going to my facebook page it is only showing 1 like? So where are the other 4 likes going?
