Did anyone Rankings drop massively last weekend ...Is this new google update ?

Hi all,
My Site rankings took a battering in the past week , From what I have read, I know that google have updated their algorithm and supposedly it only affects less than 1% of queries but I was very surprised to have fallen in that list...
Just wondered, am i the only site to have been hammered this past week ? or is it more of a case that maybe the new algorithm means I need to be more savvy with our SEO.
Just posting a quick general consensus question ...

Our traffic had gone down a little bit earlier in June but ....
We first got an message on 22nd June - in GWT - Googlebot found an extremely high number of URLs on your site.
Then on 26th June , 80% of our rankings for our keywords fell off a cliff. We don't know if it was the refresh from the panda update or if it was the google bot problem.
We have never had this message beforebut noticed we had some dodgy urls being produced from our site. We don't know how long this has been going on for but wasnt sure if either the googlebot changed it's way of working or we just so happenned for the Panda refresh to happen a couple of days after the message.
I would have thought that our rankings would have suffered on 11th June if it was the Panda that done it.
In the meantime, we have put 301 redirects on the dodgy urls

Did you lose your rankings on 1 particular day or did it happen over a few? Did you get an unnatural links notice in Google Webmaster Tools? Did you lose your rankings for all keywords or just a few you had been working on? Did you get knocked back to page 2 or just lose some rankings but remained on Page 1?
Sorry, but all these questions are a part of the diagnosis of what caused the rankings loss.

Drop in Traffic
We recently went through a server upgrade, including SSL, Encryption, Browser Caching and Image Compression. Most articles I've read, state there will be a slight decrease in traffic shortly after launching before an increase from the normal volume. However, we launched over 3 weeks ago and our traffic has dropped consistently since. Question1: What would be an average length of time after implementing this type of update to rebound from the drop? Question 2: I follow Moz to the letter and have scores of 97 and 99 ,from the optimize a page section, for most of our product pages targeted keywords. An apparent ranking mystery...
I built the site https://www.sylvaniachurch.com about 5 years ago, but the site has been live for more than a decade. Tyler has hundreds of churches and Sylvania Church currently site ranks second for most variations of "churches in tyler tx." Sylvania has a well-optimized homepage, several well-optimized subpages, a consistent sermon audio feed, and an increasingly used blog. In addition to what's on the site, there are a few other relevant sites that link to the Sylvania site and I have completed profiles on virtually every business listing site known to man. Here's the oddity. The website that ranks third and even displaces Sylvania for the second place spot from time to time (http://www.crosspointecc.com/) has only been a live URL for a few years, has no readable text on the homepage other than the nav menu, has very little content on the subpages, no blog that I can find, and fewer links from less authoritative sites. What's even odder to me is that Sylvania Church has the following numbers according to the MozBar: PA: 26 mR: 3.64 mT: 3.28 DA: 14 DmR: 3.27 DmT: 2.74 The numbers for CrossPointe: PA: 24 (2 less than Sylvania) mR: 4.68 (1.04 higher than Sylvania) mT: 5.30 (2.02 higher than Sylvania) DA: 13 (1 less than Sylvania) DmR: 2.98 (.28 less than Sylvania) DmT: 3.49 (.75 higher than Sylvania) The obvious question is, "Why does Moz like this site better than mine? What am I missing?" Thanks for any help you guys can give!

Keywords ranking on Homepage but are not mentioned.
I was wondering why some of my keywords are ranking in my homepage but are not mentioned even once. Is it maybe because they are semantically related with the keywords targeted on the homepage? What are the reason(s) for this? Thanks for enlightening me with this one.

Massive 301 Permanant Redirects
Hello, First thing first, I am not moving my website to new domain neither changing my hosting. I just want to change internal page URLs to make them user and search engine friendly, URLs of categories and URLs of category filers. What I am talking about is massive 301 redirection. There are some pages which have backlinks and I have no doubt about using 301-permanant redirection for those pages. But as far as the category filter pages are concerned there are no backlinks for those pages, but yes they do have some authority. My website is 2months old. Now I want to know that Does massive redirection effects the website authority? Or avoid using permanent redirection for all pages instead use only for those pages which have back-links and avoid using for category filter pages. http://www.artorca.com/

Google Index/Cashe questions
I have 15k+ pages. I have 4.5k pages indexed. What relation is the google cashe to indexing pages? My site gets cashed every two days. The competition in my SERP goes 2-3weeks to get cashed. What does this indicate? Is your cashe date your last google crawl? How can I get google to crawl my site? Is there a way I can get google to crawl my site starting from an internal page. This way I could set up a better linking structure that would benefit from doing activities that get that page indexed to help get my site indexed more thoroughly...

How long should I wait before making changes to my new site in order to increase ranking?
I just create a site www.autoinsurancefremontca.com. It has been about a week since this site has been launched. The site currently resides at 12th position on google. With Semoz it has a Site Grade Of "A" . When should I start making changes to the site like adding a content as an example to increase my ranking. Removing old URLs from Google
Hello, I am sure that this question has been asked many times, but I am still not sure what to do about the following: Our site's URL structure has changed a few times in the past few months. Recenty, we have changed our URLs to become more SEO friendly. However, Google has indexed the old URLs as well. The correct URL is the last one. What should I do about the other ones? Almost all the pages in our website have this problem. We have redirected the old URLs to the new ones, but is there anything else we should do? We were asking Google to remove them, but Google has informed us that it has reached the limit.
Please advise us on waht we should do. We have removed the old sitemap with the old URLs. What else must we do?

Has anyone noticed a big delta between Google and Bing rankings? For example, we rank favorably in Google, but not so favorably in Bing. Are there different tactics I should use to rank better in Bing?
An example is in Google, we currently rank #1 & #2 for "yoga pants" for Athleta and Old Navy. In Bing, I'm on page 2. Any thoughts here?
