SEO-Friendly FAQ Software
-
Hi,
We use Kayako Supportsuite (help desk and FAQ software) installed on our site and it's causing about 80% of all our SEO errors/issues.
I've googled a lot and I can't seem to find a FAQ software (we need the ability to maintain and constantly update a large # of questions) that doesn't have duplication (print version, pdf version of each question, etc.), terrible URL structure and an overall very cheesy look. We don't need the helpdesk part, just FAQ functionality.
Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks!

Hi mynewco,
To develop effective FAQ software, try one of the following links if you haven’t already:
HotScripts – search various scripts of PHP, ASP, JavaScript, and more
PHP FAQ Manager – uses PHP5 and MySQL to store questions and answers; supports recording of FAQs and a simple search interface
These items have scripts and software for FAQ functionality and are customizable for various specifications. Check them out!

Hi Keri,
Unfortunately, I have not found a good solution yet. Was going to literally have my developer hand code each FAQ page from our SupportSuite Kayako helpdesk to get around this issue.
Very frustrating.
Thanks,
Matt

Hi Matthew,
I'm following up on older, unanswered questions and wondered if you found an FAQ software that has met your needs. If you have, can you share it with us for future use? If not, you might want to ask this question again with any new details you might have, as we have an even more active Q&A audience now.
Thanks!

Zendesk is becoming very popular and large companies use it. I like it a lot.

Does a tag inside H1 affect SEO?
We are using a tag inside our H1 tag to display a second line of text, usually for extra information and making the tag appeal like a intro text for the visitor and not just a optimized SEO tag. Wordpress Problems.. SEO-Yoast is Toast?
Hello; I have installed the WP Yoast Widget in my Blog, and 2 weeks, after my issues went away, they came back X's 300! lol So I uninstalled it, and my issues obviously got worse, and then I re-activated, and reset everything, and still got the 300+ issues. Is there a secondary plug in you would suggest, to run at the same time as Yoats, or theat will fix all issues? Ever think of making an SEOmoz Widget for WP since it is gaining so much popularity?? Thank you Great work by the way! Loved the Webinar today!

Best SEO strategy for a site that has been down
Because of hosting problems we're trying to work out, our domain was down all weekend, and we have lost all of our rankings. Doe anyone have any experience with this kind of thing in terms of how long it takes to figure out where you stand once you have the site back up? what the best SEO strategy is for immediately addressing this problem? Besides just plugging away at getting links like normal, is there anything specific we should do right away when the site goes back up? Resubmit a site map, etc? Thanks!
