Link with keyword or name of the company
-
hi sorry
I am getting links from a prominent site.
I would love to know what are your though. use the name of the company as the anchor text or the Keword?
does the new world of SEO like keyword anchor or not?
-
In what context is the link being placed? What is the link linking to?
The anchor text should make it clear to users what they should expect if they click on the link using natural / clear language.
Don't just think about the SEO value of the link, but consider the value of qualified referrals too. If this is realistic (and if the linking site is relevant to your site then there should be a good chance that it is), can you treat your link as a mini call to action with a clear benefits/compelling offering?
Donnie and William are right to say that you need to be careful about making sure your backlink profile is not full of blatant exact match anchor text.

First look at the link profile of the site you are linking to here OSE Once you do a search click on the Anchor Text tab and see how the links are pointing in. Google wants your links to look natural: 50-70% branded/URL and 30-50% linking with diversity/exact anchor text (the keywords you are after)...

" use the name of the company as the anchor text or the name of the company?"
???
Referring to your title I would guess Keyword vs. Company name?
Pick the company name to be safe. Google is cracking down on exact match anchor text and having too many of them could hurt you. Company name is more normal and reasonable to have and will most likely not be penalized versus exact anchor text.

New link explorer
I was checking this new tool which is really cool by the way and was wondering if I can outrank big guys with just content. I have a Domain authority of 28 with a spam score of 28 % Can I outrank with amazing content a site that hase a domain authority of 50 and a spam score of 1 % ? Should I ask for all my bad links to be removed so that my spam score goes down or doesn't it matter anymore those days and what matters is good content, link just don't count anymore ? Thank you,

If I nofollow outbound external links to minimize link juice loss > is it a good/bad thing?
OK, imagine you have a blog, and you want to make each blog post authoritative so you link out to authority relevant websites for reference. In this case it is two external links per blog post, one to an authority website for reference and one to flickr for photo credit. And one internal link to another part of the website like the buy-now page or a related internal blog post. Now tell me if this is a good or bad idea. What if you nofollow the external links and leave the internal link untouched so all internal links are dofollow. The thinking is this minimizes loss of link juice from external links and keeps it flowing through internal links to pages within the website. Would it be a good idea to lay off the nofollow tag and leave all as do follow? or would this be a good way to link out to authority sites but keep the link juice internal? Your thoughts are welcome. Thanks.

Is it Possible to Optimize Another Company Name/Product for Organic Results?
We have a potential new client seeking to rank organically for a company name and brand product who have left the market (still in business as they are a massive medical company, but just moved away from selling this one specific product) and my new client has since picked up their slack and slowly a couple others have entered the market over the past 5 years with different products. My client's product is a direct replacement/alternative to the other product, actually, it's the same, just had to be renamed/rebranded. They are wondering how to get their website ranked for that company and branded product name to show in Google SERPs organically without being slapped with a cease and desist order. We know they can do it for PPC, but how for organic results since we need the content within the site pages or tags. Any suggestions or real life experiences would be greatly appreciated! I look forward to reading your feedback. Patrick

Page URL keywords
Hello everybody, I've read that it's important to put your keywords at the front of your page title, meta tag etc, but my question is about the page url. Say my target keywords are exotic, soap, natural, and organic. Will placing the keywords further behind the URL address affect the SEO ranking? If that's the case what's the first n number of words Google considers? For example, www.splendidshop.com/gift-set-organic-soap vs www.splendidshop.com/organic-soap-gift-set Will the first be any less effective than the second one simply because the keywords are placed behind?

Counting over-optimised links - do internal links count too?
To whit: In working out whether I've too many over-optimised links pointing to my homepage, do I look at just external links -- or also the links from my internal pages to my homepage? In other words, can a natural link profile from internal pages help dilute overoptimisation from external links?
