Blogs For SEO
-
My Competitor has a ton of different wordpress, blogger blogs. On the side bar they have link leading back to their site, how can they do this without any issues from google? Are they hiding their Ip's?
Thanks!

It is actually good content, Im not sure if they own the blog or not? There links are in the side bar, so its carried through the entire blog, could they me paid? Will owners of a successful blog put a link on their blog in exchange for money?
-
Are they producing a lot of good content and the blogs are just the locations where that great original content which users are interacting with, is located ? If they look like they are there just for SEO, the search engines will catchup when they see patterns of artificial links. They just have a lot of other spam to catch-up with first :).
I would not look at that technique and start doing it yourself.

Do incoming links from my feedburner account help my SEO?
Hi, I know this is kind of an amateur question. I just created my first feedburner account here http://feeds.feedburner.com/posicionamientowebenbuscadores/edxv and I noticed that all the links to my blog articles are do follow and from a PR7? Will this boost my PR or SEO? Thanks Carla

Your recommendation for a SEO friendly bulletin board software?
Hi there, if you set up a public bulletin board in the context of a SEO project, what product can you recommend? phpBB? A great plugin for Wordpress? ...? My requirements are complete configuration options of the relevant onsite elements, editing/moderation capability of all posts, authentication. Thanks!

Best SEO Friendly URL
Hi. Currently I'm using the following url: mysite.com/this-is-the-news-title/news-1234 The news title followed by the directory and the news id. Same goes to mysite.com/my-name/user-123 I think its better for SEO since the relevant words (news title and name) are to the left of the link. But some people are saying that this is not good for SEO because crawlers can't "organize" the urls in directories. So they say its better to use: mysite.com/news/this-is-the-news-title/1234 mysite.com/user/my-name/123 Cause then the crawler know what is a news and what is a user. What do you guys think? Thanks.

Redirecting a previously expired domain - any SEO benefits?
Is there any SEO benefits from registering a previously expired domain name that is still linked to form an authorative source and 301 redirecting it to another site on a similar subject? Obviously first benefit is giving users who are clicking on the link to be sent to a site on a similar subject that just to a dead link.

SEO Agencies
I'm eager to hear peoples experiences both good and bad with SEO Agencies. I have tried many. I'm particularly interested in hearing experiences of types of link building. In my experience many SEO agencies build low quality links, that at least in my view are unlikely to stand the test of time, with one or two expections.

How to focus SEO efforts on a single country?
I hope this one isn't too obvious a question to ask, as I'm sure it's been asked before. However - I'm considering a new site which would be focussed entirely on a UK market. US and other world traffic would be effectively useless. Using social media and standard linkbuilding techniques, how do I focus my efforts on the UK market? Getting links from .co.uk, I guess - what else? Or is it just "SEO generally and some of it'll be for the UK"?
