When you enter term "Ramsdens York" this page is visible in the serps:
https://www.ramsdensforcash.co.uk/buy-it/find-your-nearest-branch/york/#resultsWhen you enter term "Ramsens arbroath" the following page is not visible:
https://www.ramsdensforcash.co.uk/buy-it/find-your-nearest-branch/arbroath/#resultsSo my question is please why when both pages have equally bad mark up & equally bad internal linking does one page rank & the other is invisible?

Does Google slipt the rank of:
Nope, they choose the best page to show people.
If you add different content to different pages does google rank them differently?
Yes.
You know what you need to do.

Lol.
Deb is right - the page is not indexed

These pages are thin content and they are cookie-cutter. There are only a couple dozen words on them total and only about a dozen words are unique.
IMO the webmaster will get enormous gains out of writing a little content, adding a few photos. Those gains will not only be from search, they will also be from a better presentation of the business.
I know of sites that have lots of these types of pages and google only ranks ONE. It sees them as on-site duplicates and filters the rest. Also, sites that have a lot of pages like this could be hit with Panda rankings reductions across the entire domain.

The first one is setup at Google Places For Business - http://www.google.com/placesforbusiness - the second one doesn't appear to be. If you didn't set this up, it was probably added by Google's data source providers (I'd guess they use something like Thomson Local or Yell) so you probably should 1) claim the Google Places listing for the York one 2) setup Google Places on the Arbroath site.

#1 rankings on both HTTP and HTTPS vs duplicate content
We're planning a full migrate to HTTPS for our website which is accessible today by both **www.**website.com, **http://**www.website.com as well as **https://**www.website.com. After the migrate the website will only be accessible by https requests and every other request (Ex. www or http) will be redirected to the same page but in HTTPS by 301 redirects. We've taken a lot of precautions like fixing all the internal links to HTTPS instead of HTTP etc. My questions is: What happened to your rankings for HTTP after making a full migrate to HTTPS?

Is there a way to index important pages manually or to make sure a certain page will get indexed in a short period of time??
Hi There! The problem I'm having is that certain pages are waiting already three months to be indexed. They even have several backlinks. Is it normal to have to wait more than three months before these pages get an indexation? Is there anything i can do to make sure these page will get an indexation soon? Greetings Bob

Website of only circa 20 pages drawing 1,000s of errors?
Hi, One of the websites I run is getting 1,000s of errors for duplicate title / content even though there are only approximately 20 pages. SEOMoz seems to be finding pages that seem to have duplicated themselves. For example a blog page (/blog) is appearing as /blog/blog then blog/blog/blog and so on. Anyone shed some light on why this is occurring? Thanks.

Indexed pages and current pages - Big difference?
Our website shows ~22k pages in the sitemap but ~56k are showing indexed on Google through the "site:" command. Firstly, how much attention should we paying to the discrepancy? If we should be worried what's the best way to find the cause of the difference? The domain canonical is set so can't really figure out if we've got a problem or not?

Homepage dropping back to page 30 and being replaced by a random page?
Hi All Please accept my apologies if i have posted this in the wrong place, i am new to this. I have asked for help over and over again on Google Webmaster Forum but everytime i am faced with sarcastic, unhelpful answers and then moaned at for asking the same question again when i get no answers. Well, my website is http://www.hillfieldscampingandleisure.co.uk. The site is nearly 2 years old and is an ecommerce online camping equipment store. It is hosted on the EKMPOWERSHOP Platform. After a about a year of adding products and designing my site i decided to hire an SEO Company based in the UK, they were a good company with some big clients. Anyways to cut a really long story short....they completely ripped me off by £700 a month for 7 months for my site to keep going backwards, they wouldnt target the keywords i wanted and all they did was provide really spammy, non relevant, no page rank links...my site ended up on number 31 of Google. I managed to drop the company and try to do things myself. I optimized my sites content so it wasn't keyword stuffed I re-wrote all my alt tags to look more natural I optimized my meta and h1 tags I carried on with trying to build relevant, high page rank links Anyways i managed to get my homepage to page 3/4 of Google. It stayed there for a few weeks but over the past few weeks my Homepage is dropping back to page 28-30 and being replaced with a random page of my site on page 4-6. It corrects itself after a while and my homepage returns but then it happens all over again....today i have a random page on page 4 and my homepage is on page 29. Any ideas on what is causing this and how can i get my site up there? I have had some ideas come back that it is the EKM platform i am using but since the seo company took the p out of me, its the only one i can afford at the moment until i start selling. I am a small business with stock waiting to be sold but no matter how much i read and rules to follow my site just doesn't seem to move. Any help would be really really apreciated and be nice!

How can I prevent duplicate content between www.page.com/ and www.page.com
SEOMoz's recent crawl showed me that I had an error for duplicate content and duplicate page titles. This is a problem because it found the same page twice because of a '/' on the end of one url. e.g. www.page.com/ vs. www.page.com My question is do I need to be concerned about this. And is there anything I should put in my htaccess file to prevent this happening. Thanks!
