How do you solve this issue? Pages coming up as [No Title] in Open Site Explorer

I see this when researching top pages. I know for a fact that the pages have title tags that appear to be fine on google and our site, so I'm not sure what the [No Titlle] means or why it's appearing in Open Site Explorer. Thanks!

If things look good in Google, OSE will catch up and everything should be fine. And you're welcome.

Thanks for the quick reply, Mike. I did very recently change the title tags for many of the pages that are coming up as [No Title], so I was wondering that -- maybe OSE just needs time to catch up. I guess as long as the tags are coming up ok in Google, everything's cool - you think? Appreciate your help--

There are a few reasons I can think of why this would occur:

If you recently added titles to your pages, OSE might have an older version of the page while Google has the newer version.

A site I was working on had duplicated meta descriptions--OSE used one and Google used the other. If you have an empty title tag in the code, OSE might be getting confused and using the wrong one.

(Speculative) Perhaps OSE is aware of your pages but hasn't indexed the content of the page yet--it's just a URL in the system without title, metas, body, etc.?

On-page grader question
Hi there, Getting to know the Pro tools and can't find an answer to this. Can someone explain for me please? Using on page grader, I found a couple pages with an F. I scrolled downWTO where it shows the keyword phrases and under each, the URL. Clicking on the first keyword "Building site alarms"it tells me off essentially for not optimising the page for that term. The URL is "construction site security systems" which are different to building site alarms which also have their own page. I don't understand why is Moz associating this keyword with this page? I certainly haven't told it to. Please he

Open Site Explorer
Hi - open site explorer always showed backlinks to my site's blog for Wordpress, a couple of edu sites and others that ranked somewhat high. These are no longer being shown. What is the difference between the Rank Tracker and the On-page Optimization page?
Both of them track keywords. In the Rank Tracker, you add each keyword manually and you associate it with a URL. For On-page Optimization page, the URLs are generated automatically based on searches and traffic?

Open Site Explorer Update
What is taking OSE so long to update? The update schedule said the next update was going to be on Dec 28th.

Why is there such a difference between Open Site Explorer and Domain Analysis?
When I look at my links in the Competitive Domain Analysis and I see I have 113,018 Ext followed links but Open Site Explorer shows 3,148. Why is there such a difference? In addition, is there a way to view the External Followed links? I want to see where these 113,018 links are coming from. Thanks, Josh

Why would Open Site Explorer say some internal links are images when in the source code they're text?
Hi, All! I was looking at OSE for one of my client's site's pages, and I saw that all internal links were said to be images. I was pretty sure their menu was CSS, and all the links were text. So I did "fetch as Googlebot" and looked in the resultant code of one of the homepage to see the main navigation bar. The navigation link for one of those pages looked like this: `onmouseover="doMenu2on(this);">[](http://www.mysite.com/solution_sub.asp?ID=8)` [``` <code>Anchor Text Here</code> ```](http://www.mysite.com/solution_sub.asp?ID=8) ``` The nav link for a page that does show internal anchor text in OSE looks like this: onmouseover="doMenu2on(this);">[](http://www.mysite.com/solution.asp?ID=5) [```

<code>Anchor Text Here</code> So there is an image in the link (it's the little arrow before the text to indicate a sub-category), but the anchor text comes right after it. Is Linkscape (and therefore potentially Google) seeing them as two different links to the same page and only counting the first? But it's all wrapped within the same <a></a>tags. Any ideas on if this is a bug in Linkscape, or a real issue, and what should be done? Thanks! Aviva``0 -
Open Site Explorer only exporting 120 rows!
Has this happened to anyone else? I keep running reports in OSE and then exporting them, but I only get 120 rows exported to the csv when it should be several thousand. Thought I'd ask around before raising it to the Moz team!

How can I reduce the number of links on a page and keep the site easy to navigate?
The SEOmoz Site Crawl indicates that we have too many on page links on over 9,970 pages. This is an ecommerce site with a large number of categories. I have a couple of questions regarding this issue: How important is the "too many on page links" factor to SEO? What are some methods of reducing the number of links when there are a large number of categories? We have main categories with dropdown menus currently and have found that they are used to browse and shop the store.
