Term Extractor Software
-
Hi Mozzers,
Some time ago there was a term extractor tool in SEOMOz which is now disabled.
I want to run a keyword scraper test or something similar on some sites - what are people currently using for something like this?
Thanks in advance

SEO Book has a keyword density tool ... maybe not the same but worth a quick peek?

Hi Matt,
Thanks for your reply.
Its not the meta data - its the text on the page. I want a tool that can crawl the text and show me the highest densities of 2 and 3 word terms. The old TE tool did this, it wasn't super accurate (you would get 2 word term like 'contact us' for example) but it pulled some good terms from sites and it was quick.,
Thanks in advice

It would be pretty easy to grab sites keywords using importXML, wouldn't it?
It depends how you want to set it up but I can't imagine that would be too difficult. What exactly do you want it to do? Grab the meta keywords from one page? ALL the text on a page?

We have a responsive web design website and noticed this morning that we are ranking better on a cell phone search than on a PC search. There has been talk about this happening. My competitors do not have cell phone views or responsive websites. Does anyone know if Moz is planning on adding this kind of ranking information to their reports? Thanks Carla

Do you miss SEOmoz's Term Extractor Tool?
Do you miss SEOmoz's Term Extractor Tool and want them to bring it back? If you do, please go to this link and submit a feature request form. Here is a brief description for those that are not familiar with what the SEOmoz Term Extractor Tool is;This tool analyzes the content of a given page and extracts the terms that appear to be targeted at search engines. It applies certain weights to HTML elements and other on-page factors to determine what it thinks is a targeted term.

Curious, is there any way when browsing through your keywords to view each individual keyword by the search traffic that term receives?
When looking thru our keywords on our reports in SEOmoz, it would be really helpful to be able to rank keywords by major head terms and long tail terms. Is there any way to have the keyword's search traffic show up in the rankings report?

What software can I use on my Mac to open and read a SEOMoz CSV exported file?
I do not want to buy XL or Pages just to read the CSV from SEOMoz. So I bought an app on the AppStore... and this app is unable to read the CSV from SEOMoz. Since I already wasted $2, Id rather avoid to waste more (and avoid that to others too!). What software is recomanded to open these CSV files? Also, I tried Google Docs, but I bumped in their 400K cells limit 😞

Long tail software
I am trying to optimise on line shop. At begining I was focused on small number of keywords, but now I am considering using 'long tail' technique. Is there any software supporting/helping with 'long tail' seo, as it seems impossible to optimise for all of those pharses? How should link to subpages to get best results? Any other information regarding 'long tail' seo would be much appreciated. Best Regards
