Google+ & Twitter, what do I post?
-
Hello,
My site is bobweikel.com
What do I post on Google+ and Twitter?
How often?
Can my posts be the same for all 3: facebook, google+, and Twitter
-
I agree; it's open for interpretation. However, each also has their own community behaviors. To repeat the same thing across all three, well, then why would I bother reading G+ if I can just get it with Twitter? Think about the user's perspective/
It may be more worthwhile to read up on social media best practices to better understand the expectations of those social communities so you can tighten your strategy and execution.

Bob,
You are certainly in a tough niche with NLP and tackling items of weight loss. I will say that I agree with what eyepaq says and would add the following items to focus on specific content to share:
- What questions/comments have you made to your coaching clients that make them really think "wow, thanks Bob"
- What are the biggest challenges that your target market faces
- Do you have existing articles/white papers that have been well received? (these are a gold mine for taking out the headlines in your docs and making them updates)
- What are your competitors scared to say? (breaking the norm is a great way to spark conversation)
Hope that helps.

That's some wise advice, eyepaq. Thank you! Let's see if anyone else has anything to add.

Hi,
I would say that's open for debate. In our case we usually post based on the audience and the audience is very different between facebook, twitter and g+.
In a lot of cases people that are following you on twitter there are also present on g+ and/or facebook and posting the same on all 3 will only annoy them.
My best sugestion in this case is to first put focus on what type of people are following you on each channel and then adjust your posting strategy based on that. (what are those people also sharing, what other channels are they following , circeling, likeing and what type of posts are those other accounts are pushing online.
It will take time but it's the safest way to grow.
However in the beggining I would say you will need to drive blind for a while and do trial and error.
You can use aps like Socialbro for example (www.socialbro.com) for Twitter in order to see who is staying, who is leaving and so on - just to adjust your strategy.
best bet in the begining is to see what other similar accounts are sharing and if those accounts are successfully or not.
Hope it helps at least as a pool of ideas.

Social media signals and their roles in Google rankings
Hello, I keep on hearing that social media signals have a role in the way Google ranks pages and sites, but for now, I haven't seen any hard evidence of that. Like any other company, we have pages on facebook, linkedin, google plus and twitter, to which we post daily. No, there are no clients coming in from social media, so I was wondering if it's worth investing time in adding every day updates, unless those count in ranking on Google. What do you think, is there a link between social media and Google rankings, and how much does this weight in ranking my sites? Thank you

Does anyone have a great way to determine where your new Twitter followers are finding you?
We are enjoying some good success with finding new Twitter followers for our account, but the majority of the new followers do not seem to be coming as a result of our posts. How can I determine where these new followers are finding us? Google Analytics can explain those coming from our website but what about the others? Thanks to all for helping!

Do we expect Google+ to continue being an important ranking signal after its recent changes?
I've noticed that Google Plus seems to have a larger influence on ranking than other social networks, especially for one of our competitors. We haven't started using Google Plus, and I'm wondering if, from an SEO standpoint, it's worth putting energy into after last month's changes. TL;DR: After last month's changes, is Google Plus still an important ranking signal?

Twitter Personas
How to best set up Twitter personas... Connecting with different groups of people, for different clients. There are even crossovers most notably in Graphic Design Industry 2 different clients want to engage with Graphic Designers. Would prefer to handel all through my own account but don't want people to think huh SEO guy he just cares about links. Best way forwards seem to be to set up client specific accounts? Any thoughts?

Google+ Business Profile, Places, Company, or Brand
We have a company with 2 offices, 1 on each coast. I was wondering what would be the best way to create a google+ business page for this to maximize them? We'd like to show a nationwide presence with 2 offices. Are there any downsides to picking any 1 of these? To clarify, there are 3 choices: local business, brand, and company. Which of the 3 would you recommend for a company with a nationwide presence and 2 offices?

What would be a good way to drive traffic to a temporary post - job posting / classified ad?
I was wondering what would be the best way to drive traffic to a posting that will only last 30 days. I didn't think linking would be the answer, but wanted to get opinions. I was thinking pinging and social media (Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter)... What would your strategy be?
