Google ranking downgraded
-
On Sept 29th our website 'keyword' rankings who totally destroy. We were always #1 to #2 for these keywords
1. listing presentation
2. real estate presentationOur website is: http://www.agentpresentations.com
We asked Google through Webmaster Tools to reconsider the site and they replied back saying nothing was wrong.
We run Google Adwords and we contacted them and they looked at the keywords and sent screenshots to us showing the ranking we still there.
But they are not... as proven in Webmaster tools.
So Adwords told us to ask Webmaster Tools to reconsider the site again.
Nothing yet...
What do you suggest?

Thank you for your input. We remain lost on all of this. I guess the only option we have is to shut the domain name down, get a new one, and start over. It is a shame as we have been using that domain for years and have enjoyed page 1 rankings for years. Our organic traffic has dropped from about 1000 per day to as little as 1... yes 1.
As have asked SEO companies, staff, even Adwords who did go out of their way to see what is happening with no solution.
I guess Google is not trustworthy... and a company ought not to waste 1 red cent on SEO as in a twinkling of an eye... they, Google, can toss you under the bus.

I see you as #1 for buyers presentation

Another thing to check - Have you been indirectly affected by changes in your backlink profile. Have sites in your backlink profile been penalised or lost value?

We lost all rankings... simply vanished. We tracked our own rankings internally for years. From inside our Webmaster Tools... traffic is down 97%... we fell off the cliff on Sept 29.

Hi Randy - some questions...
What changed? We know there was an EMD update and a Panda update on or around the date you specified - could this potentially be to blame?
Where are you ranking - just how far have you dropped?
How many keywords are affected - are you still ranking for any keywords? Can you see any connections in the keywords that are affected.
How have the SERPS changed? Is it a case of your site just dropping out of the SERPS or has there been a greater shake up?
How have you been tracking your ranking position? Are you using a rank tracking tool or have you been doing it manually?
What impact has this change had on your traffic? (particularly organic search traffic)

We have been #1 and #2 for over 5 years. We have many keywords and all of them have been #1 to #10... such as Buyers Presentation... always #1. Now not there at all. So we are lost as to why this has happened and it seems no one can give us a reason.
And no I am not confused on organic and Adwords

Your post leads me to believe you are getting organic search rankings confused with paid search (Google Adwords). Are you saying your campaign position in paid search has lost position? As Zachary pointed out, it seems unlikely you were ranking so high in organic search results for the keywords you posted.

I am looking at your competetors for these keywords, and i'm suprised your ranked in the top position in the first place. If you look at the top results for these two keywords your competetors are microsoft, slideshare, and youtube which all have a Domain Authority of 80+ and a Page Authority of 50+. Your homepage has a Domain Authority of 27 and a Page Authority of 33 with only 50 links to your site as a whole.
A reconsideration request wouldn't help you because there is nothing that you did in violation with their webmaster guidelines. if you type into the google searchbar site:agentpresentations.com, you will see that google has your site in their index 86 pages.
Remember that adwords and organic search are two separate things, and I don't understand why adwords would recommend a reconsideration request.
I would personally focus on creating more content and outrech to gain more links to your site.
Hope this helps

Not all images indexed in Google
Hi all, Recently, got an unusual issue with images in Google index. We have more than 1,500 images in our sitemap, but according to Search Console only 273 of those are indexed. If I check Google image search directly, I find more images in index, but still not all of them. For example this post has 28 images and only 17 are indexed in Google image. This is happening to other posts as well. Checked all possible reasons (missing alt, image as background, file size, fetch and render in Search Console), but none of these are relevant in our case. So, everything looks fine, but not all images are in index. Any ideas on this issue? Your feedback is much appreciated, thanks

Large Companies Taking Over Rankings
Recently many large companies. (lowes, bed bath and beyond, walmart, target, ace hardware, etc.), have taken over the rankings of keywords we used to rank high in. Is there any way to improve our rankings and compete with these large companies? Is this due to recent Google changes? Sample keywords are: electrolux vacuum bags, oreck vacuum bags, vacuum cleaner bag, vacuum cleaner filter

Does Google News Inclusion Affect Organic Rankings?
Hello SEO Gurus, Here's a question I've been unable to find an answer for: if you manage to get a publishing website or blog included in the Google News aggregate, can it negatively affect organic search visibility? I've never read anything that explicitly says so, but I have both read and experienced how e-commerce sites often have difficulty in ranking high for both organic and shopping searches. It seems that Google balances out visibility between the two. Has anyone had any experience with a website or blog that managed to rank high for the same high-value keyword on both organic search and news search? Thanks in advance! Mike

Page rank and ranking down
Hi I blog at Technostarry. Some 3 months back during page rank update, my page rank went down from 3 to 2. I don't know the reason behind this. And now, my traffic and ranking is also down. I am not involved in any bad SEO practices, I don't copy paste and I write original content. I am too confused as why and what has happened with my site. If someone could analyze my blog and look at my weak points then that would be great. I would like to get any suggestions to get back my ranking and also page rank back. Thanks.

Why am I ranking for this
In need of some second opinions here. I have a domain softboxsystems.co.uk which ranks for the keyword sofrigam. It is not meant to! Have posted previously on this but to cut long story short, the clients .com started to rank for this term and then they lost the contract to supply the services so got a legal request to stop ranking for it (it had been seoed so was ranking 100% on off page issues). The client is a UK company so they decided that they would block the .com from google and use the co.uk domain for a period of time instead while they worked on deranking the domain. The .com domain was therefore blocked from the index, the .co.uk homepage would not rank for anything then it turned out that they had placed a canonical tag link from the .co.uk to the blocked .com!!! On my suggestion this was removed and the homepage of the .co.uk appeared in google in a matter of a couple of days (other pages on the site were indexed but not the home). Now, somehow the co.uk domain homepage is ranking for the banned term. I have checked open link and there are not any links pointing to the domain with the anchor of sofigram, nor is the term mentioned onsite. I now have the client panicking on the phone to get the page out of google again asap before the competitors legal people get wind of it. I am still trying to deindex the .co.uk homepage in the short term. I have readded the canonical back to the .com as that worked at not getting that page indexed previously. The main issue I have is how on earth I am ranking for this term in the first place and more importantly how do I stop from ranking for this term! The only terms I can find as anchor text in the moz tools are the keywords I have been seoing for help hehe thanks

Why google index my IP URL
hi guys, a question please. if site:112.65.247.14 , you can see google index our website IP address, this could duplicate with our darwinmarketing.com content pages. i am not quite sure why google index my IP pages while index domain pages, i understand this could because of backlink, internal link and etc, but i don't see obvious issues there, also i have submit request to google team to remove ip address index, but seems no luck. Please do you have any other suggestion on this? i was trying to do change of address setting in Google Webmaster Tools, but didn't allow as it said "Restricted to root level domains only", any ideas? Thank you! boson
