I do a lot of public speaking and normally upload my slides somewhere so people can access later. With most sites I can upload to Slideshare or similar, then embed into my own site. I do it for audience convenience, but it would be swell to get an SEO bump.

Authority versus Content in Linkbuilding

Hi there, I am rather new to linkbuilding and reach out to various sites at the moment. The interest in linking to us is very high and now I sometimes get the question where on a particular page I'd like to be linked to from. I then do a check in opensiteexplorer to find out about the authority of the various subpages. Yet, how do I decide if one subpage has more authority while another one has more relevancy for us (in terms of the content being provided there being more related to ours)? Hi everyone, During linkbuilding you often stumble upon those links you are not quite sure of. At first it may seem like a brilliant idea to get a link fom that site but on a second look it may be not. So what would be a checklist of things to look for, if one is asessing a website's link quality? (e.g. how do you spot a bad neighborhood?) Linkbuilding - Suspicious? Seems like they still help!

I know we should be careful of suspicious links, and that google may davalue them or even penalize, especiallysince the latest update. It seems though, however it really hasnt caught up to alot of them yet. And alot of competition is still benefitting from what seems like all garbage links in their backlink profile So could someone give their opinion about links form pages like this, assuming it is a mix of this along with other "better" types of links? http://www.bmxplusmag.com/index.php/member/4817/ See the bio at the bottom. "At least" it is within copy, and only one link to the page? (Please do not reply with a simple "be careful" message) Also, does anyone have any update, on the benefit of TextLinkAds, since the recent algo update? Thanks Sam
