Is there a SEO Moz Competitor Analasys tool that will show me how many Vistors their site receives?

I'm trying to find out how much traffic a competitor gets. Is there an SEOmoz tool for this?

True, but it is about as close as you will get without GA access, and I can't imagine getting GA access to a competitor! It's just a ball park figure to work with.

These are tools I have used before but I'm not sure I trust the data much because I have compared what they say to sites I have actual Google Analytics data for and they don't match.

I don't believe so, but you might want to have a look at tools like Compete or Quantcast

Why competitors rank with no content & filters

We're investing a lot in on-page content and creating categories/sub categories to target relevant keywords. Although it seems competitors with high domain authorities are clearly dominating in the SERPs and the pages have NO content. They are literally filters that create landing pages. For example when you search "Kaydian Beds", Debenhams rank below the manufacturer with just a filtered page, this page has not been optimised with content to target the keywords, only the META title changes depending on the chosen filter. Penguin Case Study: Need sites that were hit

I am currently trying to do a massive study on Penguin right now, you can read more about it here if you wish http://www.seomoz.org/q/my-penguin-recovery-attempt Anyways I need some data, can anyone who is willing give me a list of known sites that were hit from Penguin 1.0 Only. This can include the 2 Data refreshes after that, but basically nothing from 2.0 I also need a site in the same niche that you are aware of that did not get hit from Penguin 1.0. Possibly the #1 guy at the top would be nice. Another how the *%#^ is this site ranking question

I saw a question posted by someone a while back asking how a certain (in their opinion crappy) site was ranking in the top then. It happened that there were some good reasons for that site ranking. Well.... I have stumbled on a site that seems to be ranking for (almost) no reason at all: relatively low DA/PA very few inbound links (none seem to be that special) thin content The only thing I can think of, is that the site has the keyword in the domain name. But looking at the search results, there are other domains with exact match keyword in URL and somewhat stronger metrics that don't rank.

I must be tripping. How is this site ranking for the term "SEO Company"??????

When I go to Google non-custom search results and search the term: seo company The website "greencowseo.com" is ranked 3rd. OpenSiteSearch shows nothing. And get this... the domain was registered 14 days ago by somebody in Egypt. Do I need to quit my SEO Moz membership and hire this guy? 🙂

When providing search results for SEO purposes to you use the exact results in Google Adwords

Hi Mozzers Just quick question When an SEO company are supplying their testimonials for example
Keyword Search Term has 33,000 visits a month
Keywords is in position 1 but the search volume they are showing is broad, i was always brought up to do research on exact results unless im using the reserch for a PPC campagin? Has anyone got any ideas?? should it be braod im looking at or exact?? Many Thanks Matt

Search shows site links, but not hyperlinked?

2 of our competitors on Google have site links show in their results which brings you to that specific page. In our listing we show up with the same results a few spots behind them with our site links visible showing very similar content, but are not actually hyper linked. Is there a way to fix the issue and let people actually be able to click on our site links instead of just reading them?

Site in top 3 with a 1-day old domain and no backlinks

Hi everyone, I'm trying to understand some searchresults, when searching in the netherlands for 'online casino':
http://www.google.nl/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=online+casino&pws=0 You'll see as position 3 result this website: http://bit.ly/qhRsUT, it's obviously that this site is there because of blackhat. But how did it come there such high for a keyword with high competition? I don't see anything wrong in the website? It's not like Google did something wrong, because it happened already a few times for this keyword with different domains from that owner. Regards, Yannick

Pre-Launch SEO?

We are currently building a brand new site that should launch in the next 6 to 8 months. Obviously we have zero backlinks, zero mentions anywhere, etc. My plan is to set up a landing page with contact info, links to social network, mailing list signup, the usual. I'll be doing keyword research and gathering leads for potential links but should i start and active linkbuilding campaign? What kind of SEO work would you recommend while the site is in development?
