Best way to find keyword to write a post that will get 50 visitors a day in Google traffic?
-
Hi - I have a blog with good PR (4) but not much search traffic.
I am interested in targeting keywords on a single blog post basis rather than site wide.
The current search traffic is so low I can't really base looking for keywords off the keywords people are already arriving from.
The only tool I know is the Google keyword tool.
I am tired of writing posts that get zero search visitors most days, so would like to try to target some terms that will get around 50 search visits per day to that specific post.
Best approach?

Take into consideration below points:
1. Current ranking of your Blog post ? Suppose your post is on 3rd position for particular keyword. Try to find out such keyword through Google analytics and try to improve ranking of those keywords.
2. How do you do keyword research ? Are you using "category" in Google keyword tool ? You should have to use that as per your blog theme.
As per requirement I think "Google keyword tool" in enough for you.

if you have a group of keywords or something you want to discuss on your blog. I have found that this plug-in or you can use it via the website scribecontent.com from copy blogger is a fantastic tool. I have writers block and sometimes it is a fantastic aid when researching keywords and also following best practices in getting link juice to the right pages. I would also not worry so much about keywords as I would worry about simply talking about something and making it interesting and engaging for your reader. If I wanted to rank for a keyword regarding Mercedes-Benz I might want to tell a story about a road trip something like that right don't focus 100% of my time on the keyword but I simply write a well-written and engaging blog post.
I hope that tool is of some help I also believe that distilled.net/u and copyblogger.com are fantastic places to learn about blogging of course SEOmoz is one of the best in the world as well.
Sincerely,
Thomas

Keywords and content query
Hi we are in the process of redesigning a web site and I’m looking to ensure each of the pages are correctly optimized. I’m concerned that some of the pages do not allow for text or content . From an optimization perspective is there a general rule around the amount of text a page should have and the amount/ration of keywords they should contain? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Previous keyword overuse on past blog posts: looking for a plan to proceed with new posts
My client has multiple office locations around the US. Each location has it's own subdomain for maximum local visibility. For example: "cityname.maindomainname.com" Each subdomain has it's own blog, and has, up until now, all posts have been key-worded: "product + city" followed by the blog title
Keyword Research | | KristyKK
For example: "Life Insurance San Fransisco | 5 Facts to Know" So on each subdomain (location), there are many blog posts done on the same product, in the same city. So they have a series of blog posts with the pattern below (hypothetical examples): "Life Insurance San Fransisco | Insurance Myths"
"Life Insurance San Fransisco | Which One is for You?"
"Life Insurance San Fransisco | Getting Your Policy Reviewed"
"Life Insurance San Fransisco | Buying From a Reputable Agent"
"Life Insurance San Fransisco | Cancelling Your Policy" The issue I am running into is how do I properly keyword/key-phrase all future blog posts for each location. The same keyword has been used so many times that it seems almost meaningless to continue to use it ("life insurance") even though it's the target product and location the client is trying to rank for. I don't plan on using the formula "product+city," but it would be nice to use the term "life insurance" somewhere in a key phrase or two. The client's goal, to rank high for their product in each, individual location. I am looking for guidance and advice on what would be the best course of action to achieve the client's desire for increased visibility in their target areas. An added challenge is the number of cities. Following their current blog posting needs/schedule, they want to do 60 posts a month, one for each city each week (14 cities), so I'll be on the hunt for how to write this many posts without writing duplicate content, but that's for a different question. So considering the above, if this were your client, how would you proceed?1 -
On-page optimization for closely related keywords or acronyms of keywords
We are in the process of on-page optimization for a site that sells one kind of software. We are trying to optimize each page for a target keyword and variations of the keyword, however we have more pages than keyword variation types, so I'm looking for feedback on whether the below plan would be keyword cannibalization. Examples: URL: www.domain.com/product
Keyword Research | | seo_1234b
Tarket Keyword: device imaging software
Title Tag: Device Imaging Software | Company Name URL: www.domain.com/solutions
Target Keyword: device imaging solutions
Title Tag: Device Imaging Solutions | Company Name URL: www.domain.com/products/product-name
Target Keyword: dis (acronym)
Title Tag: DIS Software | Product Name | Company Name My question is are these keyword too closely related for each of the pages? Will they be considered duplicate title tags? Keyword cannibalization? etc. Thanks!0 -
If I insert a "stop" word into a long tail keyword, will it break it up?
I'm in the legal industry, and a lot of the long tail keywords I'm finding are search queries that are pinpointed for my location. As a result, I come up with [subject] + [location] as good keywords... for example: "subpoena duces tecum new york." (basically it's a subpoena, just the fancy name). However, I have no clue how to use something like this in a sentence....if I say "subpoena duces tecum IN new york" does the "in" break up the keyword, or is "in" just a stop word that doesn't affect the keyword? Countless examples of similar keywords "Car accident new york" etc. Thanks!

Wrong page ranking for keyword.
I have a page i'm trying to rank for certain keywords around "emergency vet clinic" the page is domain.com/emergency-vet-care but my home page is the one that is ranking better and better. How can I get the other page to rank for e.g. "emergency vet care" , "emergency animal care" and the main page to rank for just regular vet care? My on page looks pretty good. I've also taken out most references to emergency care on the main home page except for the one link to it. Thanks

Why do I get a vastly different keyword ranking on google using different browsers?
With Fire Fox I get a ranking of 3 for roof coating and get a page 6 with Chrome and IE. Not sure what is going on with that.
