Ranking Changes: Google.co.uk vs Google.com vs Google.com.au?
-
Why would my website appear, for example, second for a keyword search on Google.co.uk but on a search through Google.com or Google.com.au (Australia) not appear in the Top 50?
Excuse the simplicity of the question!
-
I see. That's tricky then.
I suppose offering currencies for the relevant countries would be a start.
Then get links from websites in that country, and build pages for those countries. Thanks.

Your search ranking is very relevant to your location.
When you do a search in Google.co.uk think of it as if Google is adding "UK" to your search, so instead of searching for "widgets" you are searching for "widgets UK".
Google is attempting to provide the most relevant search results for their users. They recognize that even though English is spoken in Australia, England and the US, each country has different dialects, currencies, systems of measurement, etc. If I search for "widgets" as an American I expect the result page to show information in US dollars, with words spelled like "center" not "centre".
If you wish to have your results appear in other country's search, you need to perform additional SEO. Obtaining links from sites based in your target countries would be helpful, along with building pages which are optimized for those countries as well.

Why doesn't Google show my site in the results when searching for my exact URL ?
I haven't done too much work with optimizing the site yet, but I was curious as to why the site doesn't even show up in any of the google results when searching on the exact URL. What could cause this behavior?

Google Adword Keyword Planner
Previously I always utilsed the Google Adword Keyword Tool to provide traffic estimations in order to assist with my keyword research. I have recently revised these levels of traffic using the new Keyword Planner. Local Traffic results are approximately have fallen approximately 85%, I have anaylsed this over approximately 50 results. I am aware that the new Keyword Planner does not have a local traffic column anymore so I have utilised the location filter. I have the same problem in all my campaigns, in two different countries, please can someone advise why this is and how I can collect accurate keyword data. Kind regards

How do you determine whether to pursue keywords suggested by Google Instant?
I have heard that a good source of keyword suggestions is looking at what pops up as suggestions when you start typing into Google. My question is how do you know if it is worth your time to create content around those suggestions? If you enter these suggestions into Google's Keyword Tool, often there is no data on search volume.

Branded vs Generic keywords - is Google treating their rank equaly!?
Several times I have noticed that website receiving sort of a rankings drop penalty for certain wrongly built on-page strategies that involves keyword stuffing, wrong keyword density(too much) etc. The question is - how you guys think - is branded keywords receiving the same treatment from Google then generic ones? And here is why - for one popular brand I see that they ranking for their brand keyword very high(1th) but keyword density is awful - more then 10%. So, my guess is - if this keyword density you would apply for generic keyword you will end up nowhere to be found for it! Is that could be truth? Any experiments info about that? thanks and regards, Jungles

Organic vs Places (Maps) Searches
I realize one can use the google adwords keyword tool to get rough organic search volume, but Is there a method to see how much a keyword is searched within specifically google places? That is, seperated out from the organic search? Ideally i would like to see how often certain keywords are search for in google, v.s. in google places/maps directly. maybe it is not possible. cheers, storwell

Is there any sites other then Google Insights which have cataloged search volume for particular queries over time?
I know Google Insights gives this data, but the fact that it's relative to overall search requests make it very difficult to see anything other then obvious trends (Toys sell better in November, go figure?). Each query I've looked up[ is showing degradation over time, but I'm postulating that this has more to do with search volume increasing then with the volume of my queries decreasing.

Is there a pro tool or google service that I can use to see which sites rank for certain terms? Without having to first identify the url's?
For example I want to see the top 20 sites in order of ranking for top keywords in my industry. Without having to know in advance the url's.
