Value in content from website being shared across social media?
-
I asked this question a couple of days ago. Would be great if anyone has some good insight:
I write content on my site, which I immediately share across Twitter, FB and Google+. Will Google view me as active on social media with this onsite content I distribute across social media sites (basically creating duplicate info across social media, which already is on my site) or will I be seen as less active on social media since I do not write original content on the social media sites, but rather use content from my site and distribute across social media.
-
Active on social media is interaction to me so if the content you distribute on social media sites creates buzz and people started interaction with you... You are active! It’s simple is that!
Will Google find it active or not is a different debate... may be Google+ interaction will be considered as more important as compare to others but this is not conform till yet!

_Yeah it is perfectly fine sharing great content in social channel. And there is no as such need to rewrite them as to make them appear unique. Search Engines are well aware of this and it is perfectly natural. And it will not be considered as active unless the post starts getting Likes, Shares, Tweets, Retweets, Google Pluses from other members. _

As far as I know, there is no penalty from Google o share the content time n again on social media. Also, if you share your content on social media, its a good thing as its seen as sending good overall social signals to Google though it is NOT a ranking factor. Many people tweet the same stuff again n again to get more followers.

If your goal is to "get a message out" then put your content up anywhere that you can.
If your goal is to make money from a website then you need a different plan. Not saying what that plan should be because I don't know your goals.

What percentage of people will Like/Share something on Facebook vs. Liking/Sharing from a website?
I asked this on Quora and am curious what the Moz community has to offer: http://www.quora.com/What-percentage-of-people-will-Like-Share-something-on-Facebook-vs-Liking-Sharing-from-a-website If I have a blog post that I share on Facebook and I receive 1,000 Likes and/or Shares, what's the percentage of those Likes/Shares that will come from people interacting with the post in their Facebook news feed vs. people Liking/Sharing the article on my blog? I realize many factors are at play here (type of content, audience, time of day, blog design, etc.) but have there been any studies that attempted to address this question?

How to Push Free Offer for Links, Likes and Shares.
I have been working with a UK based printing company for a while now. We have had some good success, ranking well for most of our target phrases. One thing we do is to offer select Graphic Designers and Illustrators free business cards. Last year we approached a load of Designers and Illustrators (sourced via followerwonk) and printed cards for them, but we have run out of suitable candidates. One particular problem is that if the designers don’t need cards at that moment in time, the offer is forgotten about. Any Ideas how we can give the offer a lift? Let me know your thoughts. Justin

B2B Social Media Creeping
I recently posted an (insightful) comment in a LinkedIn group. I can see that someone from this group has taken a look at my profile, so I'm assuming that they read my comment and they were at least a little intrigued as to who exactly I was. I would regard this person as a prospect. Maybe a slightly unlikely prospect as there's a couple thousand miles that separate us geographically. I'm wondering what sort of etiquette/best practices there are for connecting somehow with this person/company. Initially I thought I'd follow them on Twitter, maybe like them on Facebook, but they have no such presence. I like the idea of connecting with them that way because it's a 'soft' connection - not too aggressive. Doing something like emailing or calling and saying 'Hey, saw that you looked at my LinkedIn profile', seems creepy & desperate. Even sending an invitation to connect seems a little too forward. I feel the only thing to do is to continue to involve myself in this group by posting thoughtful & insightful comments in order to get noticed further that way.

Do i direct traffic to all social platforms or not?
Hi ...I have a brand that is very strong socially..specifically facebook and twitter and this is where we have directed all strategy and traffic. We recently wanted to establish a presence on google+ and have done so. My feeling at this point is to maintain a presence on google+ but only direct social traffic to facebook and twitter from the brands website....so we can keep the focus here aswell as the stronger community. I have noticed other brands doing something similar.....is this a good strategy or should we be directing traffic to all the platforms from the site?...bottomline should we be linking to all our social platforms from the brands website or keep it linked to the stronger platforms and just maintain a presence on the others? thank you

Myth or Fact: Social Media Dashboards Bad for SEO?
I want to start using HootSuite to pre-schedule Facebook/Twitter updates, but am plagued by nagging concerns because I have heard that HootSuite may impact SEO in a negative way. Is this truth or bull? If it i true, how so, specifically? And can anything be done to mitigate the negative SEO factors? Also, does anyone prefer another dashboard over HootSuite? Thanks in advance for your inputs!

Does shared content affect rankings?
I've noticed that when logged into Google, content shared by people within my social graph is being identified by a "(name of person) shared this". And, content shared by people not within my social graph (but people who have a Google+ account) is being identified with their picture. My questions are: Is this "(name of person) shared this" content showing on first page of results because they're in my social graph. Or would this content have been on 1st page regardless of whether it had been shared? Why is google identifying who is sharing content when they're not in my social graph? Thank you!
