How do i best utilize my exact keyword match domain names as landing pages?
-
I own mutiple exact keyword match domain names which I would like to utilize as landing pages for my business.I would like to know if it would be best to host each page as a seperte website?or would it be best to simply link the domain name thorugh the domain registrar to an already exisiting page on the main website.
example: cheapshoes.com --> www.thebestshoes.com/cheapshoes
I would like to do this in the most seo friendly manner so that the exact keyword domain is ranked within google without losing any PR.
Which method is best?
and what type of linking should be used through the domin registrar?

To get the most out of them SEO wise, my recommendation is to develop them in to full blown websites. 15-20 pages of unique content related to the topic. After developing these "micro" sites, they will bring in a lot of traffic not on for the exact keyword, but long tail as well.
I know this sounds like a lot of work, especially if your main site is not very big, but this is how you're going to get "the most" out of them.

Does the domain extension effect domain authority and ranking
We have produces a website on a .company domain extension. We have produced a good sized website with unique content. However the DA remains at 1. There are no high priority issues in the page crawl. We suspect that the domain extension may be causing a lower DA. Is this a ranking factor?

Best practice when reducing the number of pages
Hi guys, I have recently changed one of our sites pages from having 1 main department page that links off to 6 others to showing all the products on one long page in an effort to have one authoritative page for this product type that can then be promoted on its own rather than promoting 7 pages and thus watering down any value. My question is now I have removed the links to the old pages should I just delete these pages altogether and setup redirects or should I leave them up as individual landing pages for those smaller product groups? If you look at the page below you can still access the smaller pages from the links in the jquery banner. http://www.orderblinds.co.uk/dept/wooden-venetian-blinds_d0161.htm Thank you in advance, Matt

Are Exact Match Domains on Blogspot or Typepad Effective?
It is well known that exact match domains are quite effective right now for ranking for a specific keyword phrase. Does this work equally well for Blogspot or Typepad exact match subdomains? For example http://seattledentist.blogspot.com

We have a decent keyword rich URL domain that's not being used - what to do with it?
We're an ecommerce site and we have a second, older domain with a better keyword match URL than our main domain (I know, you may be wondering why we didn't use it, but that's beside the point now). It currently ranks fairly poorly as there's very few links pointing to it. However, the exact match URL means it has some value, if we were to build a few links to it. What would you do with it: 301 product/category pages to current site's equivalent page Link product/category pages to current site's equivalent page Not bother using it at all Something else
