Ideal Campaign Set Up For Multiple Landing Pages Post Panda
-
I have a local floor cleaning business in the UK. I have various discrete services e.g. carpet cleaning, stone restoration and polishing (a page for each type of stone) that are delivered in distance geographical service areas. Each page is set up to target a "town/service" keyword. In each geographical location I have different competitors
Should I set individual campaigns for each landing page or is one site wide campaign the way to go.
Many thanks
David Allen

Thank you Megan - Just what I wanted - I had not considered the competitor angle.

Hi David! This is Megan from SEOmoz. You could really set up your campaigns either individually or as a root domain - it just depends on what you think would work best for your needs. Here are some pros and cons, though, that will hopefully help you reach your decision.
Root Domain -
Pros: 1. Might be easier for you to have everything in one spot rather than clicking between campaigns. 2. If you have the same keyword you want to track for everything then you would only need to enter it once as opposed to adding it to each campaign (and thus taking up several keyword spaces out of your allotted 300 instead of just 1)
Cons: 1. You're only given 3 competitor comparisons, so it would be pretty limiting if you have several competitors you want to track against
Individual campaigns -
Pros: 1. You can track up to 3 competitors for each campaign so you would be able to keep an eye on the direct competitors for each service. 2. It might be more convenient to have all of the data separated out to create clear lines between the services.
Cons: 2. It would takes up a lot more campaigns slots
I hope this helps at least a little bit! If you want to send us your specific URLs so we can take a closer look, feel free to send them to help[at]seomoz.org.
Thanks!

Yes I'm trying to understand how to set up my SEP Moz campaign considering I will have a number of PPC and SEO landing pages. Will a root url cover all the pages or will I need to set campaign per page?

Duplicate Content: Marketing Page / Content Page
So I am getting duplicate content warnings on my website for my pages white paper and webinar video pages. Each white paper / webinar video page is behind a marketing form page that must be filled out. I am getting a lot of warnings that the marketing page and the content page are being picked up as duplicated content. In the past, both the marketing page and the content page were given the same title and url, the body content is not similar. My question: Is the URL / Title similarity enough to set off the duplicate content warnings and would changing one or the other solve the issue?

Is my 404 page set up correctly?
HI there! In using a few different tools, and I have received varied result concerning my 404 page. In WebSite Auditor from Link Assistant, it says my page is set up incorrectly. My webmaster has told me that it is set up correctly, but at this point I'm not entirely sure what's what. Is there another way to test it? I guess i'm not quite sure about the jargon and what "return 404 response code" actually means. Thanks for your help!

PR2 vs Page Authority 65
Looking at a website that has a Google Toolbar rank of 2. Moz Authority is 65. Why would there be such a huge difference? Site has been around since 2000 but has not been updated. Mosst of the links are from 3000 links all owned by the same person.

Do I need to set the country in Webmaster Tools even if I am set to apply the hreflang tag to our different country pages?
We are global brand that will be migrating to a new platform in the next few months. As such, this will allow us to fix our current SEO issues. We are planning on using geo-targeted subfolders instead of country code top level domains primarily because of resource limitations. My question is - do I need to set the country in Webmaster Tools even though I am already going to tell Google that certain pages are targeted towards a specific country?

Sorting Dupe Content Pages
Hi, I'm no excel pro, and I'm having a bit of a challenge interpreting the Crawl Diagnostics export .csv file. I'd like to see at a glance which of my pages (and I have many) are the worst offenders for dupe content – ie. which have the most "Other URLs" associated with them. Thanks, would appreciate any advice on how other people are using this data, and/or how 'Moz recommends to do it. 🙂
