Any suggestions on link building for charity/non profit sites. Any lists specific to charities would be super useful.

I would recommend getting the charity supporters to create content, sharing there thoughts about how they feel the charity is helping the community, etc. This content could be posted on their own blogs or social media profiles or placed on the charity's own website. Either way, they can encourage links back to their site that way and actually deserve the backlinks that way.

Just my thoughts.

Should we pay for this attorney directory?

I'm aware of how most directories don't matter and/or have lost significance over the past few years, but in the legal world, it sure seems like this one does: http://www.martindale.com/ I doubt we will ever get many cases from this directory, but it would be a nice link to have...I think. The DA is 88 and the page we would be listed in is a 39. Almost all of our competitors who outrank us have this link as well. Granted, it's not the only link, but it's one I could afford to obtain. Any thoughts or experiences? ***If any of you market for attorneys, and you're outside the Tampa area (don't want to cause any professional conflicts) have you recommended this directory to your clients? I am looking at the links to a competitors site and they have a ton of links from things like this http://www.directoryws.com/ Is it worth submitting to something like this? It has a 58 domain authority from Moz.

Are directories worth my time?

So I just came across SEOMoz's directory list. And I wanted to ask what people think about directories. I hear for new sites, they are good. For old sites, not so much. We are launching a new project next week. Should I start submitting it to some directories? Look forward to opinions. I really love this forum, everyone is so helpful!

I have no real opinion on them to be honest, I don't really have any experience with them personally: eg: http://www.fastdirectorysubmitter.com/downloads.html http://www.thelinksubmitter.com/ http://www.dumpblaster.com/ I presume they will be negative or a waste of time?

Finding Directories – HIGH Quality – Directory Critic REALLY???

I am trying to concentrate on high quality directory link building as part of my search for quality one way followed links. My usual criteria is: Domain rank of at 70+ Page ranks of 20-30+ on the actual link pages. Human edited I have been finding them using loads of different resources and have occasionally used Directory Critic. (Obviously I have used the SeoMoz directory list but as we are all aware this is past it’s prime..) Any resources or techniques other people use?
