Can using the Google Keywords tool and/or SEOmoz cause problems for my company's IP address?
-
I just started with a company a few weeks back, working on-site doing SEO work. I've been using SEOmoz as well as Google Adwords' Keywords tool. I just got a message from one of our reps saying that people at the office (and this is a huge office) have reported tons of CAPTCHAs being thrown up frequently. I told them I had been running searches with Google Keywords tool and SEOmoz, but would that really cause that much of a problem? Is there anything I can do in order to fix this, some keyword finders that won't get me in trouble, etc.?

That's not a problem I've heard of often. I might wonder about your internet connection. A lot of searches being done from a single IP address could be the problem. Multiple internet access circuits may solve or help isolate the problem. Maybe there are automated searches being done over that circuit? Is anyone running local software to do ranking reports--like webceo or something like that?

Hi Ken,
The quick answer, no...
Both SEOMoz and Adwords do all the work at their end and you only make the one request to these sites to obtain the data.
The CAPTCHA code occurs when multiple requests are run from the one IP address to Google search. This can happen naturally if many people are googling at the same time and your company only runs the one IP. It could also occur if you are using downloaded software to obtain SERP data directly from Google.
Hope this helps,
Dan

What's the Best Method of Content Distribution
This question is both specific and open ended. I have a new web project I've been working on content for. I paid to have a really sweet research article written and I am in the process of turning it into an info-graphic as well. Being that the the website is so new it doesn't have many customers and few to no blog readership. Now that I will soon have great content for the site should I : A. Post on the Blog ? ( Its a Blogger on a blog. domain.com ) B. Post as a static page on the website ? (domain.com/content) C. Something Else ? Whats the easiest to promote and push traffic to?

Can anyone recommend software for recording phone calls through Adwords?
Hey Mozzers, I want to start recording phone calls as a result of PPC campaigns. Can anyone recommend an easy to implement system for setting this in place which will allow me to track calls placed as a result of PPC advertising. The ability to record the calls for training purposes would be a bonus. Thanks in advance Geoff

Can Adwords campaigns affect other campaigns performance?
I understand that keywords and adgroups within a campaign can affect the performance of other keywords within that parent campaign. I was interested to understand whether campaigns in my account can affect one another. I have an adwords account with around 30 campaigns. Some are heavy hitters and others get minimal to 0 traffic. Will these low quality campaigns drive up the costs of my high end campaigns?

Wouldn’t you rather be up front? Our experts in Search Engine Optimization can help you become more visible and more productive. A quick email will get you details. This is from a site around auto and truck service and is an actual cut and paste. My question is twofold: Is there a way to report individual Gmail addresses to Google as purveyors of spam and beyond a capcha, is there any other work around? This is form to schedule a service appt. so they are not emailing to an info@etc.com type address. It is a contact form. Thanks

For the hotel website, should i make homepage banner/slideshow in flash or javascript
Hello Sir, We have build hotel website and enabled google analytics on that. When we were going through the report of google analytics it shows that 69% have java and other 31% visitor has no java. We have designed Slideshow/banner on home page which shows different pictures of hotel which is in javascript. My question is as per google analytics report 31% have no java, that means they are not able to see that slideshow/banner of hotel pictures? is this the reason for 23% bounce rate on our website? Please help on this because I have spend nights on seo and tried lot of goal conversion techniques with different landing pages. I will heartily appreciate you response. Thanks, Bandro.
