Optimising 2 ecommerce sites
-
Hi there
I have been optimising an e-commerce site snowsupermarket.co.uk and it's range of products available to B2C customers.
I have now been asked to do the same for the B2B site shop.snowbusiness.com which sells the same products but also, many more.
My question is,
Should i use completely different meta information or choose keywords that are my second choice?
Both sites are also on the same IP - would this be a problem with potential duplicate content?
Many thanks in advance,
Ben

Keywords are not needed anymore.
-
Thanks

Then i m afraid that the answer to your question is yes. there is a risk of duplicate content between both sites
-
Hi there
The .com site only sells to UK
-
Hi Ben,
Its definitely a risk of duplicate content.
Potential fix:
the .co.uk is definitely a site that is targeting for the UK audience. and the shop.snowbusiness.com resides on a .com (obviously) so is the intent of that domain (other than b2b) is it to target the English speaking People in the world? if so i recommend, based on your current business plans and goals, to target this domain for the whole world. ie make all your currency in dollars, use href lang between the UK and the .com etc( you are providing signals to google that this website is my World website and this is only for my uk market)
Ps i see also duplication between your items and items listed on ebay. so make note of that.
Cheers

Is it possible to link two sites' Search Console to Adwords?
My company is a healthcare organization that has two brands, one that's our 'system' and is mainly adult health services and the other is pediatric only focused care. Both have separate websites. Our SEM is managed by an outside agency. We're in the process of linking our Google Search Consoles to the Adwords account. Our GSC has both of the sites as separate properties, but the Adwords account has all of the campaigns for both brands under one account. Is it possible to link both of the GSC properties in the Adwords account to be able to get accurate information for the Paid & Organic report in Adwords?

Should I subscribe my site to bellnet.de?
I am unsure whether I should put a link on bellnet.de. As the web directory is rather a common one and not specialized on web design (as my site is)... On the other hand it has a higher PA and DA then my site. And its spam score is very low. What do you think. Will google reward it and is it worth lazing 50 bucks? Cheers Marc

Can you market to someone 30 days AFTER they visit your site via PPC?
Hi all, I'm looking to market to visitors 30 days AFTER they have been to a website. Their is a coupon this business wants to run every 30 days to its' repeat customers (and if they purchase again); thus, 30 days more will resume. I'm aware that your remarketing list can capture audiences from 30, 60, and 90 days past. I'm talking about future display ads running 30 days after visitor has cookies enabled. Thanks for your help! Cole

2 websites, similar content, adwords placement
Hi - I have 2 sites in a clients adwords account which are based on the same subject, with unique content on the same subject. We're using 2 unique ads, each using the same keywords, 1 bidding fractionally lower than the other, and are trying to do is get them appearing 1 & 2, but at the moment I I can't even get them to appear on the same page. Are we competing against ourselves or is Google seeing the content as too similar to show both?

Two google analytics accounts on one site.
I've got a client who is using a third party for cpc ads, to track these we need to give the third party admin access to google analytics. Being that we are seeing massive discrepancies in reported cpc ads and refunds etc.. have been offered, I can't trust that as an admin they won't delete the profile with all data proving reason for refund. Can we create a second google analytics account (not profile) to protect the data? We want to give access to sensis to the new account so we can start seeing the cpc separation in traffic source from now while ensuring the existing account can't disappear.

SIte wide links by google display / adsense
hey guys, I had a quick question about my back links that might be coming from adsense. I am trying to help my father our on his site and help him recover from penguin. unfortunately his company hired some shady SEOers to do "SEO". little did my dad know the BLs he were getting might be spammy, thats what I am checking now. When I ran a BL report on him ( i use two tools, SEO spyglass and OSE ) i found that there were many "sitewide" links, but i dont think there were placed there by the webmaster, i think they come from adsense. I know he has a PPC campaign where the daily spend is 3k/ day so I know its very possible that this might be the case. If my tool is picking up BLs from these sites ( which are niche related ) does google count these links for ranking purposes? and might this hurt my rankings if google just sees these as "sitewide links"

Have you seen a correlation in between running a PPC campaing and increased SEO ranking for a new site (< 3 months old)?
I have read many conflicting articles on this topic. I understand that running a PPC campaign at a launch phase of a site can get a lot of insights such as exact traffic patterns etc. But the question is: is there a correlation or not with increased rankings position for new site as search engine are forced to crawled that given landing page to give your ad a score? Thanks in advance for your answers and opinion
