Author & Video Markup on the Same Page
-
I just have a quick question about using schema.org markup.
Is there any situation where you'd want to include both author & video markup on the same page?
-
Yes.
Video-blog kinda thing or "vlog" or whatever it's called by the cool kids these days. Whiteboard Friday kinda thing - totally appropriate.
I can't really think of any other use-case right now...Maybe interviews if the authorship is pointing at the interviewer?
-
You can and should include both if you are able to. You are not limited to using one element of schema.org on any page. It's helpful for Google and other search engines to better categorize and understand the elements of your page. If you have a video on a page with a description written by a particular author, then definitely include both. As to how that page will show up in SERPs is Google's call, which will depend on the query.

How come only 2 pages of my 16 page infographic are being crawled by Moz?
Our Infographic titled "What Is Coaching" was officially launched 5 weeks ago. http://whatiscoaching.erickson.edu/ We set up campaigns in Moz & Google Analytics to track its performance. Moz is reporting No organic traffic and is only crawling 2 of the 16 pages we created. (see first and third attachments) Google Analytics is seeing hundreds of some very strange random pages (see second attachment) Both campaigns are tracking the url above. We have no idea where we've gone wrong. Please help!! 16_pages_seen_in_wordpress.png how_google_analytics_sees_pages.png what_moz_sees.png

HTTP & HTTPS
what is best recommended when some of the pages on site goes from HTTP to HTTPS: 301 redirection or 302 redirection?
Technical SEO | | JonsonSwartz
and why? thank you I was asked to elaborate so: on my website I have open account pages. users are asked to fill the details. those page are secured and are HTTPS. the problem is that the whole website turned to HTTPS so they redirected most of the pages from HTTPS to HTTP.
the secured pages are redirected from HTTP to HTTPS. I wanted to check if it's correct and what is the best redirection way (301 or 302)0 -
Pages not being indexed
Hi Moz community! We have a client for whom some of their pages are not ranking at all, although they do seem to be indexed by Google. They are in the real estate sector and this is an example of one: http://www.myhome.ie/residential/brochure/102-iveagh-gardens-crumlin-dublin-12/2289087 In the example above if you search for "102 iveagh gardens crumlin" on Google then they do not rank for that exact URL above - it's a similar one. And this page has been live for quite some time. Anyone got any thoughts on what might be at play here? Kind regards. Gavin

Malware & Wordpress
Google has identified Malware on on eof our Wordpress sites. In webmaster tools it names the 10 pages where code has been injected. I cant' find them easily via the WP dashboard and wondered if anyone had had any experience of this and what steps they took? Plus are there any measure I can take to fight against this? The site is on the latest WP version. Thanks, Colin

Dynamic page
I have few pages on my site that are with this nature /locator/find?radius=60&zip=&state=FL I read at Google webmaster that they suggest not to change URL's like this "According to Google's Blog (link below) they are able to crawl the simplified dynamic URL just fine, and it is even encouraged to use a simple dynamic URL ( " It's much safer to serve us the original dynamic URL and let us handle the problem of detecting and avoiding problematic parameters. " ) _http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2008/09/dynamic-urls-vs-static-urls.html _It can also actually lead to a decrease as per this line: " We might have problems crawling and ranking your dynamic URLs if you try to make your urls look static and in the process hide parameters which offer the Googlebot valuable information. "The URLs are already simplified without any extra parameters, which is the recommended structure from Google:"Does that mean I should avoid rewriting dynamic URLs at all?
Technical SEO | | ciznerguy
That's our recommendation, unless your rewrites are limited to removing unnecessary parameters, or you are very diligent in removing all parameters that could cause problems" I would love to get some opinions on this also please consider that those pages are not cached by Google for some reason.0 -
Duplicate Page Titles
I had an issue where I was getting duplicate page titles for my index file. The following URLs were being viewed as duplicates: www.calusacrossinganimalhospital.com www.calusacrossinganimalhospital.com/index.html www.calusacrossinganimalhospital.com/ I tried many solutions, and came across the rel="canonical". So i placed the the following in my index.html: I did a crawl, and it seemed to correct the duplicate content. Now I have a new message, and just want to verify if this is bad for search engines, or if it is normal. Please view the attached image. i9G89.png

Cache my page
So I need to get this page cached: http://www.flowerpetal.com/index.jsp?info=13 It's been 4-5 months since uploaded. Now it's linked to from the homepage of a PR5 site. I've tweeted that link 10 times, facebooked, stumbled, linked to it from other articles and still nothing. And I submitted the url to google twice. Any thoughts? Thanks Tyler
