Is it worth it to change old URLs to lower case?

Hi Mozzers,
My site has a ton of URLs with upper case letters, such as http://www.consumerbase.com/Lawyer-Mailing-Lists.html
I know upper case URLs are bad, but I am wondering if it is worth it to change old, already created pages.
Should I change these URLs to all lower case and 301 redirect the old URL to the new one, or will that temporarily de-index all of these pages?

It all depends on server types. Apache servers fetch the same exact page regardless of case, where as a IIS-Microsoft server considers the upper case and lower case pages to be different.
You have an Apache server, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. If you ever consider switching servers, though, you will want to take a look at your URL's.

In my experience I don't think its going to negatively affect your SEO it is just a better practice to keep everything lowercase. The only thing you do not want is the search engine viewing the same page 2x as separate pages creating duplicate content. If these are relatively new pages I would go ahead and fix them, but if they have any significant link juice to them i think its fine to leave as is.

Doubts about the technical URL structure
Hello, first we had this structure Categorie: https://www.stoneart-design.de/armaturen/ Subcategory: https://www.stoneart-design.de/armaturen/waschtischarmaturen/ Oft i see this https://www.xxxxxxxx.de/badewelt/badmoebel/ But i have heard it has something to do with layers so google can index it better, is that true ? "Badewelt" is an extra layer ? Domain Change -- Drop in Rank
So I had a client that recently decided to change their URL to make it more "searchable"/shorter. Since doing so, I have noticed a significant drop in rankings for a number of the keyword terms we were previously ranking for. Is there a way to push the links to the new URL or is the only solution to revert back to the old URL?

Backslash in URL
my main URL is www.americanmusical.com, SEOMOZ shows I have a duplicate page title on www.americanmusical.com/. I have the think the backslash is causing other issues. I noticed when I first go to my site it is without the /, but if I navigate to the home page, the URL has the / in it. Any ideas on if this is a problem or how to handle it?
